Adonsa's roar instantly blew away the halo. Its infinitely expanding physical strength doubled, redoubled, and doubled again. The power generated by the nuclear fusion reactor had long been suppressed by the backward power transmission system to the point of a near explosion, and the previously terrifying crushing pressure suddenly transformed into a gentle breeze.

The wheel-like, knotted tentacles instantly stretched infinitely, rapidly carpeting the entire psychic space with a sea of flesh and blood like a rising tide. The texture of a biological stomach lining became the sole motif of this space.

The only exception was the door opened for herself behind Cinderella, which was the anchor point for her projection.

Battles in the psychic space were not particularly unusual; combatants constructed astral bodies according to their self-perception to fight. In other words, a warrior remained a warrior, and a mage remained a mage.

Even a cyborg could bring all their attachments intact, provided they truly understood their own equipment.

Only professions with immense experience, such as highly skilled psionics, would display more astonishing feats.

Adonsa's resistance also completely enraged Cinderella. Her voice was like the unyielding ice of an eternal winter: "Adonsa, resisting the Divine Mechanism will be your most erroneous decision."

"Utter nonsense! The Cancer of Ten Thousand Realms is infinite, and the Multiverse is infinite as well. Since when is it your turn to worry about the birth and destruction of the cosmos?"

Adonsa's fanged giant eye instantly appeared before Cinderella, opening wide to swallow her whole.

Deep within the pupil, a petal-like giant maw unfolded, densely packed with sharp fangs lining the inner walls, eager and ready to shred everything to pieces.

To speak bluntly, if Adonsa did not squander this surge of power right now, the moment it returned to the real world, it would sense the summons of the divine spawn, subjecting it once more to the taboo experience of distortion and desecration.

Cinderella trembled, and the crisp sound of locks snapping open echoed through the space. The straitjacket shed its heavy restraints bit by bit, revealing beneath... burning black flames.

There was no pure flesh as one might imagine, only a physique draped in flickering black fire resembling an evening gown, its edges shimmering with a deep blue light.

The straitjacket turned to ash within the black flames, the chains trembling and hissing as they melted and snapped one by one, and the wide blindfold had long since burned away, revealing... the face of a banshee with deep-set eye sockets.

Deep blue flames flowed at the bottom of those hollow eye sockets, and the once alluring beauty in a straitjacket instantly transformed into a night banshee returned from hell.

Adonsa was not at all surprised by this outcome. As a "distortion unit," the name alone dictated that its growth process could never follow conventional paths; rather, it was fraught with mutation and radicalism, where distorted and deformed obsessions manifested in every aspect—spirit, flesh, and the very nature of power.

The essence of a distortion unit lay in shattering the original limitations of life, effortlessly leaping past shackles through mutation, leaving almost no conventional bottlenecks to cause redundant distress.

As long as one worked hard, one could grow stronger; as long as one strived, there would be returns; as long as one was sincere, wishes could be fulfilled.

Breaking through oneself and transcending reality was a yearning deeply rooted in the soul of every living being. Therefore, no life form would refuse to become a distortion unit, and many even actively chose to embrace the path.

From this perspective, distortion units were truly passionate and inspirational existences, transcending all limitations of race, civilization, belief, and life form.

Yet, amidst continuous mutation, the essence of life would warp further and further away from its original form. While breaking through oneself, one was bound to lose a portion of self, gradually intoxicating oneself in the illusion of omnipotence, where convictions, desires, family, lovers, memories—anything could be discarded.

Until one ceased to think and fused completely with the divine spawn.

Who the original divine spawn actually was is now completely lost to history; the only known fact was that the entire multiverse was repeating this tragic cycle, throwing themselves like moths to a flame to embrace the eternity and might of the divine spawn, willingly becoming a part of countless filthy lumps of flesh.

However, prior to reaching that stage, distortion units were indeed existences worthy of respect and dread. Their growth rate was faster than a rocket, and their combat will was harder than steel, making them the most trustworthy comrades and the most formidable enemies.

Cinderella was clearly a distortion unit who had successfully kept herself under control, and had even plunged into the great cause of managing all distortion units to protect the universe.

Or rather, she fancied that she had achieved successful control.

The reversal of ugliness and beauty occurred in a single instant. The repressed, gorgeous female and the world-destroying night banshee jointly constituted the two-sided essence of Cinderella.

Now, Adonsa was about to face her angry and merciless side.

The black flames grazed Adonsa's solitary eye. There was no charring, no thick smoke, not even high temperature or glaring light; the single eye simply vanished into the void in an instant, before Adonsa could even feel a thing.

It was as if some blade, sharp enough to slice through nanomaterials like mud, had instantly lopped off Adonsa's sole eye, cleanly gouging out a deep layer.

The giant maw deep within the pupil was also split in two.

Yet, relying on its massive array of tentacles, Adonsa continued to launch a probing attack.

For Adonsa, losing a core-like singular eye was no different than shedding a single hair.

Possessing such a colossal body, Adonsa had every right to dismiss this sky-darkening onslaught—capable of destroying a small nation—as merely a probe.

However, the black flames transformed into tassels, dancing like the flying deities of Dunhuang, and made silent contact with the countless tentacles, severing or incinerating every single one of them.

Bizarrely, the entire process was impeccably clean; not a single speck of excess energy leaked out.

No light, no heat, no electromagnetic waves—not a single trace of abnormal fluctuation.

A pair of deep-blue flame pupils stared directly at everything around them, as if attempting to ignite all existence with a glance. Cinderella sneered, "Adonsa, where is that brute strength you were so proud of?"

A tentacle whipped forward with the momentum to topple a mountain.

The black flame evening gown draped over her curvaceous physique shed mere wisps of flying sparks that instantly sliced clean through a tentacle so thick it would take ten people to embrace.

Another tentacle transformed into a mountain-piercing giant ballista and shot forward. Cinderella showed no intention of dodging whatsoever; the black fire gown over her chest quietly swallowed everything whole.

Her exposed skin took on the color of shadows as Cinderella spread her arms in defiance before Adonsa.

And finally, Adonsa understood the true nature of the black flames.

According to the Grand Unified Theory, time, space, the four fundamental forces, and elementary particles are all unified—different expressions of matter's energy under varying states. One could even say that matter itself is composed of energy.

Therefore, the essence of gravity is simply the indentation of space, much like placing an iron ball into a sandbox; the ball depresses a large pit, and objects within the basin of that depression will inevitably slide down along with it.

This is a simple model of gravity and space.
