Chapter 142 Black Hole
An inexplicable terror suddenly gripped the blood-pumping organ of the Tynan Prophet. Sharp, golden slashes like sisal fibers shot out in all directions, whistling as they struck the ground and sank deeply into the earth to an unknown depth.
Yet, after a blinding flash of light, the Tynan Prophet did not feel as though it had hit Adonsa at all.
It had not hit Adonsa?
How could an attack of such massive scale fail to hit Adonsa, a creature so colossal that even moving was cumbersome?
Its eight eyes rolled up, down, left, and right as if possessed of independent lives, frantically searching everywhere—relying on mere physical vision rather than the perception of its psychic tentacles.
These four pairs of somewhat degraded, hazy eyes revealed a restless anger, along with a trace of fear that it would never admit to.
"No, no, the power of the mind does not deceive me! Adonsa, where are you?!"
The flesh-and-blood mountain that had previously slumped across the earth like a range of hills had vanished without a trace in a single instant. Meanwhile, the psychic tentacles of the Tynan Prophet were as blind, deaf, and foolishly unaware as could be, failing to sense even the slightest premonition.
It was much like a person waking up in the morning, groggily brushing their teeth, turning around to find their bed gone, turning again to find their desk gone, and finally, in a frantic search for their wardrobe, discovering that the entire house had vanished into thin air, leaving them standing all alone in their underpants and shivering in the cold wind.
That bizarre and heart-rending sense of collapse was enough to shatter the mental defenses of any hardened warrior.
Especially for the Tynan Prophet, which had relied on psychic power for years to seal away its emotions and feign rationality; its resistance to such a situation was even worse.
Some people are pure simply because of ignorance, and some people are strong simply because of numbness.
Such purity and strength are, in the face of true evil, actually vulnerable to a single blow.
Having lost some of its emotional control, the Tynan Prophet fully unleashed its psychic power. Every single crevice where an intrusion might occur was tightly plugged, preventing even a single spore from breaking through. The overflowing psychic power caused the light itself to refract into iridescent rainbows.
Far from feeling vibrant, these shattered rainbows became the physical manifestation of the Tynan Prophet's inner anxiety and chaos.
"I'm here, I'm right here. Can you find me—"
A murmur as soft as a mosquito's hum and as tender as a lover's whisper sounded beside the Tynan Prophet's ear, immediately repaid by the hypersensitive Tynan Prophet with a positron cannon blast that, had there been no atmosphere to block it, could have struck the Moon directly.
The thick, white pillar of light, scattering luminous dust, blasted through the dark clouds without encountering any resistance.
Like a primordial god wielding a stone chisel, it carved a wide celestial river through the gloomy, overcast skies, from which brilliant starlight poured down abruptly. The Tynan Prophet clearly had no mood to appreciate this magnificent scenery.
Its two front limbs miserably clutched its disk-shaped head, and its eight eyes looked utterly bewildered.
"No, no, it shouldn't be like this. The Light of Tynan can illuminate the most boundless darkness and gaze into the humblest shadows..."
"Hee hee hee—can your light shine upon me?"
Adonsa's eerie laughter clung to it like a shadow, seeming to lurk deep within the Tynan Prophet's mind.
A malice capable of destroying everything suddenly ignited in the Tynan Prophet's heart: "Hide, keep hiding! I will destroy everything and see how you hide!"
It shrieked as the air was seized and compressed by materialized psychic power. A violent tornado raged around the Tynan Prophet, and countless dazzling flashes converged before it before descending.
A blinding white pillar of light as thick as the Tower of Babel crashed onto the earth, resembling a world-destroying sword thrust by a divine swordsman. It cleaved and tore apart the entire landscape, slashing all the way to the unfathomable ends of the earth, as if intending to cut the entire planet in two.
Though this magnificent, awe-inspiring strike failed to truly split the planet in half, it deeply cleaved the continental plates, causing the earth to roar as if a giant beast that bore the world on its back were rolling over in the depths of the ground.
The originally balanced pressure within the solid continental plates was released, turning the entire terrain almost upside down until a new pressure equilibrium was established and things gradually calmed.
The Tynan Prophet extended its two front limbs, around which circles of dazzling light halos orbited before slowly drawing closer together. The vibrating halos violently collided, and the light between the two spider-like legs violently distorted, visibly forming a vortex that then turned into a deep, profound darkness.
The black vortex spun quietly, resembling a dark galaxy.
Its entire body trembled; this tiny black vortex imposed a burden upon it that far exceeded all its previous expenditures combined.
The powerful suction created a current of air, and the dust on the ground trembled slightly as if quaking before this terrifying existence.
For this was the most terrifying celestial body in the entire universe, ruling over its most vast force—gravity. It swallows starlight, and even stars are mere food to it; within its core, the very concept of spacetime may not even exist.
This was a miniature black hole, shrunk down countless times.
By using psychokinesis to cyclically accelerate particles to an astonishing degree, a tiny beam of accelerated particles carrying enough energy to melt ten snow mountains was made to violently collide with another beam of particles traveling in the opposite direction.
The collision of high-energy particles causes terrifying fusion, thereby generating nuclear fusion. The massive energy burst is locked within the tiny space of a few electrons, and the compressed matter and energy rapidly reach the lower limit of the Schwarzschild radius, producing an irreversible collapse that creates an ultra-miniature black hole with a radius of less than a nanometer and a lifespan of less than a few microseconds.
Yet as long as the output energy is large enough and the colliding particles are numerous enough, it is possible to blow up the black hole like blowing up a balloon.
A black hole the size of a basketball, even if it existed for less than a millisecond, would be enough to tear apart the entire continental plate, bite away a quarter of the planet's volume like eating an apple, cause the entire planetary structure to collapse, shatter completely, and then re-fuse into one.
By then, all life on this planet would be destroyed, and even the Tynan Prophet itself would be severely injured. Only a tiny fraction of extremely fortunate and resilient microorganisms would survive, becoming the ancestors of the next season of life or slowly perishing in the harsh environment.
When some civilization came here to archaeological digs countless years later, perhaps they would discover the fossils of these microorganisms, and then marvel at the drastic changes that had once taken place on this planet.
Yet a slender wrist reached out and casually plucked away this yet-to-be-formed black hole as if executing a slam dunk, spinning it lightly on a fingertip and reducing all the aforementioned futures to mere bubbles.
Gritting its teeth, the Tynan Prophet snarled, "Adonsa!"
As if it had merely done an insignificant chore, Adonsa tilted its head and leaned close to the Tynan Prophet, its dark pupils reflecting Adonsa's sickly pale face: "Such a dangerous toy is better left for me to keep for you."
"Adonsa!"
Accompanied by a roar filled with madness, an unprecedentedly powerful positron cannon fired, instantly submerging Adonsa's body.
Bathed in temperatures exceeding hundreds of millions of degrees, Adonsa's voice remained crystal clear.
"You say the essence of psychic power is the power to alter reality?"
The torrent, capable of cutting a planet in two, was miraculously cut off midway by a small hand that looked as though it would hurt itself first if it tried to punch someone, turning it into a source-less stream of water.
"Then haven't you ever wondered what the reality you have accepted until now actually is?"
