Du Zhiye waited the entire night, but Jiang Yingnan never sought her out.

She didn't have much time left; she couldn't afford to keep wasting it like this.

She called the private investigator, but there was still no useful information.

Over the years, there hadn't been a single woman by Jiang Yingnan's side. In fact, rumors circulated that he preferred men.

Aside from work, the man seemed to have no hobbies at all.

If she had to name one, it would probably be his love of money. Any business that could turn a profit—he would make sure to have a hand in it.

Du Zhiye sighed. She couldn't possibly buy Jiang Yingnan for a night, and snap a photo as proof, could she?

The thought was absurd.

She wasn't exactly well-off herself, and even the Du family, compared to the Jiangs, was nothing more than a fake aristocracy.

Frustrated and dejected as she was, her resolve did not falter.

She opened her phone, checked Jiang Yingnan's schedule, and suddenly energized, hurried into the bathroom.

So it was that early the next morning, just as Jiang Yingnan parked his car, he saw Du Zhiye appear out of nowhere.

He instinctively licked his back teeth. There was only one way to describe Du Zhiye's appearance today.

She was, simply put, "smoking hot."

A red V-neck, bodycon, ultra-short dress.

She was certainly overdressed—anyone unaware might have mistaken her for a nightclub singer from Old Shanghai.

Jiang Yingnan smiled, a genuine smile this time.

Du Zhiye's outfit amused him.

Seeing him smile, Du Zhiye smiled as well, her grin seductive as she shook the food container in her hand. "Second Young Master, I brought you a breakfast made with love."

Jiang Yingnan got out of the car, looked her up and down, then raised an eyebrow. "You're very sexy today."

His gaze was unapologetic, the kind one might use to assess merchandise.

There was desire in his eyes, tinged with contempt.

But Du Zhiye didn't care much about that; all she cared about was when she could sleep with Jiang Yingnan and snap that photo.

Since she'd brought breakfast, Du Zhiye simply followed Jiang Yingnan into his office.

His office was simply decorated, but it was obvious a lot of money had been spent.

Du Zhiye set the food container on his desk, seizing the chance to flatter him.

She praised his good taste, and how the office decor was elegant and impressive.

Jiang Yingnan regarded her with cold indifference, her compliments leaving him completely unmoved.

It left Du Zhiye feeling rather defeated, questioning her own worth.

She forced a smile, gesturing at the food container. "Second Young Master, please try some. I made it all myself."

He glanced at it, his tone unreadable. "I've already eaten."

Du Zhiye tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and began clearing the container. "I see. Then I'll bring you lunch later." She looked up into his eyes. "What would you like for lunch, Second Young Master?"

Her neckline was low today, and as she bent over, the view from Jiang Yingnan's angle was unobstructed. He smiled again, but his eyes remained cold as he mocked, "Miss Du, are you really this eager?"

Of course, Du Zhiye knew he was mocking her. Did it bother her?

Of course it did—no one likes to be looked down upon.

But her concern lasted only a fleeting moment, for she knew that everything she was doing was simply to survive another month.

She smiled again, continuing to flatter him. "It's only because Second Young Master is so irresistible."

No one strikes a smiling face. Her flattery finally pleased Jiang Yingnan.

He raised an eyebrow, curiosity flickering in his eyes. "Do you want me that much?"
