At last, after casting one final glance back at that beautiful oasis, Yulongze drove power into both legs and shot up into the sky.

He flew at tremendous speed beneath the heavens, and the scenes of the ground below swept swiftly past his gaze.

He saw many tribes upon that desert planet, and even passed over the tribe that had once been slaughtered to the last by the Third of the Kiriarodians.

Faint traces of dark crimson blood still marked the earth in irregular stains, while the remains of corpses were slowly being weathered away.

The flesh of the dead had already decomposed, leaving only bleached bones hidden beneath brown-yellow sand and windblown dust.

Yulongze did not know how much time had passed on the side of the Land of Light’s world, but judging from the degree of decay, he understood that at least a month had gone by there.

A month was only a conservative estimate; perhaps several months had already passed.

And yet, before he left, Zoda had already been close to revival. Even if one reckoned only a month, Zoda must have been revived long ago.

Yulongze desperately wanted to know the present situation in the Land of Light, but unfortunately he did not know how to use the Ultra Signature. Otherwise, he could have contacted them with ease.

After hovering in the air for a moment, Yulongze continued onward and soon broke free of the planet’s gravity, reaching outer space.

To be honest, Yulongze had been rather afraid while flying across that planet.

Afraid that the dream would come true, and he would be trapped upon that desert world.

Fortunately, he was now in space.

He let out a long breath. “It was only a dream. I really am far too sensitive...”

...

Compared with the quiet, vast sea, the boundlessness of the universe seemed even more mysterious and grand.

Guided by the faintly remembered route in his mind, Yulongze made for the Land of Light. He did not know whether he had taken any detours, but in any case, he was roughly headed in the right direction.

He flew nonstop through the cosmos, weaving past one enormous meteor after another hurtling straight toward him.

During the journey, he rested on several small asteroids, and once he had recovered, he also practiced the sword technique taught by Inoue Jiro.

“Hmm... I wonder when I’ll finally be able to master all the swordsmanship Master Inoue Jiro taught me...”

Still transformed, Yulongze lay lazily upon an asteroid with both hands behind his head, one leg crossed over the other, looking utterly carefree.

Suddenly, he sensed waves of evil energy.

“This is...”

His eyes sharpened. The energy was familiar; it was the dark rampaging power that Zero had once told him about.

This power drove the monsters throughout the universe into madness, making them far more dangerous to deal with.

“Looks like while I was unexpectedly away, Zoda still hasn’t been destroyed!”

Yulongze sprang to his feet, pushed off with force, and shot rapidly toward the source of that energy.

For he had also sensed another faint aura of light, one belonging to a warrior of the Land of Light.

Since one of the Land of Light’s warriors was in danger, Yulongze naturally wasted no time racing over.

The cloud sword wrapped in silver radiance instantly appeared in his right hand. From afar, he could already see an unfair battle taking place on a desolate planet.

Several monsters were ganging up on one warrior from the Land of Light, and that young Ultra was already exhausted, with no strength left to fight back.

Boom!

The young warrior was struck down like a kite with a snapped string and crashed heavily into a pile of broken rock.

“Am I going to die here!”

Lying amid the rubble, the young warrior struggled as the timer on his chest flashed relentlessly.

Watching the six ferocious monsters closing in on him, he felt unwilling to accept this fate. He was on the verge of becoming a reserve member of the Space Security Force!

And now he was to die on this abandoned planet!

At this moment of despair, he saw a streak of silver light sweep past his vision, and that silver streak directly pierced the head of the horned monster nearest to him!

The outline of the silver light resembled a sharp sword, radiating lofty and righteous qi.

“So... so amazing!”

The young Ultra warrior stared in astonishment.

Clearly, that silver streak was none other than the cloud sword Yulongze had hurled in time!

Yulongze’s battle-worn, godlike figure followed immediately after, appearing before the utterly shocked young warrior.

“Hold on a little longer!”

Yulongze nodded at the young warrior, then turned and unleashed a powerful whip kick that struck the flank of a monster beside him, one that looked remarkably like Gorgana, sending its balance reeling so badly that it crashed heavily to the ground in a cloud of dust.

He then easily drew the cloud sword from the skull of the monster it had pierced through and immediately unleashed the Jiro sword style. In an instant, sword shadows filled the sky, and sword light flashed everywhere.

The young warrior from the Land of Light was already dumbfounded, sitting foolishly in the rubble and seeming to have forgotten even how to stand up.

Roaaar!

In the blink of an eye, Yulongze had already dealt with three monsters. The remaining ones flew into a rage, roaring furiously, their gaping mouths streaming with vile saliva.

Casting a disdainful glance at those disgusting cannon-fodder monsters, Yulongze swung the cloud sword once more. It left behind a series of afterimages in the air, tracing one beautiful arc after another.

The swordsmanship taught by Inoue Jiro was becoming ever more familiar to Yulongze, taking the lives of one monster after another.

From waist to back, from back to shoulder.

From shoulder to arm, from arm to elbow.

From elbow to wrist, from wrist to hand, from hand to finger.

This was the basic principle of swordsmanship, and Yulongze’s fundamentals were exceptionally solid.

Perhaps his manner of fighting seemed rather unusual among Ultra warriors. To fight with a sword was strange indeed by their standards, yet it was highly effective.

When the last monster’s head was severed and sent flying, Yulongze also withdrew the cloud sword shining with silver brilliance from his hand.

“Can you still stand?”

Yulongze turned, his figure seeming immense in the young warrior’s eyes, and extended his right hand in a friendly gesture toward the Ultra youth, who was still standing in a daze.

“Huh? I... I can!”

Only then did the warrior react. After a brief hesitation, he took Yulongze’s strong and powerful right hand and, with his help, stood up.

Yulongze casually appraised the young warrior’s appearance.

His head was somewhat similar to that of Ultraman Hikari, while the patterns on his body were mainly red, accented with a little silver.

It was clear he was a red-clan warrior of the Land of Light.

“You’re an Ultra warrior from the Land of Light, right?”

Yulongze’s tone was warm and courteous.

“Ah... yes, senior!”

Back when Yulongze had still been in the Land of Light, not every Ultra warrior had seen him.

So the young warrior was still somewhat excited. The black Ultra before him was truly too strong, and facing such a powerhouse, he felt deep reverence.

Seeing this, Yulongze smiled helplessly, then asked, “And what is your name?”

“Reporting to senior, my name is Sars!”

“Oh.”

Yulongze nodded again with amusement, then asked a few more questions he very much wanted answered. The young Ultra warrior named Sars also eagerly told him everything he knew.
