Chapter 74: The Brawl
At this moment, Miyazawa had lost all his former composure; his eyes were filled with panic. Unable to revert to his human form—what did this mean? If the giant died, he would die as well. Their lives were intertwined.
“Tango! Tell me why this is happening!” Miyazawa roared at the sky, his fear gradually morphing into hatred for Tango, inching toward a violent outburst. After all, he was human at his core—if he could never return to his human body, what meaning was left in being this so-called savior? Wealth, beauty, power, desire, reputation—what use were any of these if he lost his humanity?
With an unwilling, furious howl, Miyazawa began to rampage. He charged straight at Daigu, who had already expended the most energy. Thankfully, Daigu was prepared; he quickly raised his right arm to shield his face, blocking Miyazawa’s heavy punch.
“You really have a death wish, don’t you!” Ryuse Yuelong sneered leisurely. With three against one, victory was all but assured. Yet this guy still wanted to fight on—wasn’t he just asking for punishment?
Masaki Keigo was never one to back down from a challenge. Faced with Miyazawa’s provocation, how could he remain unmoved? Seeing Daigu under attack, Keigo stepped forward, slipped both arms under Miyazawa’s armpits, locked his hands together, and immobilized Miyazawa completely.
“Daigu, it’s up to you now!” Keigo restrained Miyazawa with a grappling hold, pinning his arms so tightly he couldn’t move an inch. Miyazawa was now a lamb to the slaughter.
But Daigu hesitated; instead of striking, he glanced uncertainly at Ryuse. “Isn’t ganging up on him a bit much?” he asked tentatively.
Ryuse paused, then grinned wickedly. “Let me do it, then!” He stepped forward and slapped Miyazawa across the face.
“Maybe this slap will knock some sense into you!” Miyazawa was stunned; when had he ever been treated like this? Though Keigo had his arms pinned, Miyazawa’s legs were still free. Regaining his senses, he thrashed his legs wildly, kicking at Ryuse whenever he came near, making it difficult for Ryuse to land another hit.
Daigu stared at Ryuse in bewilderment. Something about this didn’t feel like an Ultraman’s way…
“Hey, Daigu! Grab his legs!” Ryuse barked. Daigu snapped out of his daze and rushed forward, holding Miyazawa’s legs in a tight grip, preventing any escape.
Now Miyazawa’s limbs were all restrained. Ryuse straddled him—
Smack. Smack, smack… Ryuse swung his fists at Miyazawa’s face again and again. At first, Miyazawa struggled fiercely, but under Daigu and Keigo’s control, he couldn’t break free. Had he been in human form, Miyazawa’s face would have already been beaten to a pulp.
Eventually, Miyazawa seemed to give up, hanging his head and letting Ryuse beat him at will.
“This… this is just…” Onboard the Swallow, Shinjou’s mouth twitched at the spectacle before him.
“A… a group beating?” Fatty Ikezai rubbed his eyes, unable to believe what he was seeing. The members of the Victory Squad weren’t the only ones stunned—so were the citizens of Tokyo, who had all been watching in a daze.
Feeling the bewildered, astonished gazes of the people, Ryuse suddenly felt a peculiar thrill of showing off. Someone was first to recover from their shock, fumbling for their phone to record this once-in-a-century—no, once-in-a-millennium—scene.
“Damn! This is intense!” someone shouted excitedly.
“Hit him harder! Beat him to a pulp!” another cheered Ryuse on as he rained blows on Miyazawa.
For this sudden villainous giant, the people felt nothing but dislike; his appearance had only increased the destruction of the city. He was an enemy of humanity. This scene would surely go down in history.
Eventually, Ryuse, exhausted, signaled Keigo to take over. Ryuse quickly restrained Miyazawa’s hands, and Keigo continued the beating.
Keigo, it seemed, was even more relentless than Ryuse; each punch sent sparks flying from Miyazawa’s body.
Suddenly, Ryuse grabbed Keigo’s fist just as he was about to throw another punch. “He’s a traitor from TPC. Let TPC handle him. Besides, our transformation time is almost up.” At first, Ryuse had wanted to kill Miyazawa, but after venting his anger, his rage had subsided. Since Miyazawa was from TPC, it was best to leave him to them. Ryuse trusted Director Zei would handle this properly.
Keigo shrugged indifferently and stood up. “Then let’s beat him back into human form.” He fired a finishing beam at the motionless Miyazawa on the ground.
But a red energy wave intercepted Keigo’s attack. At some point, a new giant had appeared. Its head resembled that of Mebius Ultraman, and its body bore markings similar to Tiga’s composite form. This newcomer had saved Miyazawa.
The new giant crossed his arms in an L-shape, unleashing a fierce energy beam at the three.
“Ah—!” Daigu, having spent the most energy, was hit by the blast and instantly reverted to human form. Next was Ryuse, who had been transformed the longest; he, too, was forced back to his human state. Only Keigo, still full of strength, remained.
Once again, people were astonished by the endless emergence of giants. “Since when did giants become so common?” Shinjou gritted his teeth and piloted the Swallow to attack the latest villainous giant.
...
“Damn… Who the hell is that guy…” In the rubble, Ryuse clutched his chest, coughing violently after taking a direct hit to his torso. Beside him lay Daigu, who seemed to have lost consciousness.
“Hey! Wake up, Daigu!” Ryuse shook him vigorously. Thankfully, after a few shakes, Daigu came to. “That hurts…” Daigu groaned—the giant’s energy beam had struck his chest as well.

“Hahaha—hahahaha!” In the TPC Biological Research Institute, Tango laughed maniacally as he controlled the newly appeared giant in Tokyo. “No one can stop me now!” With his special technology, Tango could command the giant with his own consciousness.
The giant rampaged through Tokyo, making the already ruined outskirts even more devastated, then advanced towards the untouched parts of the city. Keigo rushed forward to stop him.
But for some reason, this giant was extraordinarily powerful—Keigo was no match for him.
