Chapter 155 Searching for Agul
Yue Longze nodded and motioned for the Three Hairs to step aside. He strode to the center of the clearing and assumed an initial fighting stance with his left arm still in a cast.
"First of all, the key to looking cool and formidable lies entirely in a well-executed opening stance!"
Yue Longze began to expound using his own unique theory. "If your opening stance is standard and imposing, it not only makes you look much more dashing, but it also puts immense pressure on your opponent!"
Yue Longze retracted his stance. "This is what we call overwhelming your opponent with sheer aura first!"
"Oh..."
The Three Hairs listened in utter astonishment, standing there like wooden chickens as they subconsciously nodded in response.
...
From dusk until late into the night, Yue Longze continued to instruct the Three Hairs in combat arts, and they studied with utmost diligence.
Although Yue Longze's theories sounded a bit unconventional, his starting point was good—to protect the people one cared about.
Furthermore, everything Yue Longze taught them was solid, genuinely lethal combat technique!
...
For the next few days, Yue Longze kept training the Three Hairs, imparting all the basics of combat to them without holding anything back.
"The master leads you through the door, but cultivation depends entirely on the individual!"
Standing barefoot on the sofa, Yue Longze sternly addressed the Three Hairs, who were lined up on the wooden floor.
"I have already taught you the basic combat arts, so the rest depends on your diligent practice!"
With that, Yue Longze stopped paying attention to them. He got dressed, fixed his hair, and briskly stepped out of the house.
It was time to begin what he had set out to do.
To find Mumu!
Yue Longze had not forgotten that Mumu, aside from being a member of the Alchemic Stars and the XIG, was also a student!
However, he still needed to find out which specific university Mumu attended.
Yue Longze was not too worried about this, though. Given how famous the Alchemic Stars were, basic information about their members should be relatively easy to acquire.
Besides, Yue Longze had already practically concluded that Mumu must be studying at the nearby Jonan University, because that was where he had first encountered him.
Still, this was only a conjecture, so Yue Longze planned to get Mumu's basic information first.
A pure white T-shirt paired with loose beach shorts and flip-flops remained quite suitable for this late summer and early autumn season.
Inside a roadside newsstand, the freshly dressed Yue Longze easily found books introducing the Alchemic Stars.
Standing right in front of the newsstand, Yue Longze rapidly flipped through the pages, his gaze scanning them swiftly.
Name: Takayama Mumu
Gender: Male
Age: 20
One of the members of the Alchemic Stars, currently studying Quantum Physics at Jonan University in Tokyo...
"Very good! Found it!"
A wave of excitement surged within Yue Longze, and his palms clenched slightly.
"Hey, are you going to buy that or what!"
The old man running the newsstand looked impatient, urging Yue Longze.
"Ah, I'm sorry!"
Coming back to his senses, Yue Longze offered an apologetic smile to the newsstand owner and neatly returned the magazine about the Alchemic Stars to its original spot.
"Jonan University... Here I come!"
Yue Longze rolled his neck and quickened his pace toward Jonan University.
...
This was Yue Longze's second time visiting Jonan University.
In the late summer and early autumn, the girls here were still dressed in cool, refreshing attire.
Appetizing, graceful legs constantly swayed before Yue Longze's eyes.
Clearly, however, Yue Longze was in no mood to appreciate them right now.
"Takayama Mumu... Quantum Physics major..."
Yue Longze muttered to himself.
Soon, after making a few inquiries, Yue Longze located the quantum physics laboratory belonging to Mumu.
However, the door to the quantum physics laboratory was tightly shut...
"Knock knock!"
"Knock knock knock!"
...
Yue Longze tried knocking a few times, but still received no response.
Frowning, Yue Longze murmured, "Looks like nobody is here..."
Just as Yue Longze was about to turn and leave, a tall man with a stylish, flowing center-part hairstyle walked up from the corner of the stairs.
Their eyes met, and both froze simultaneously.
"Excuse me... Is there something you need?"
The tall young man took the initiative to break the silence.
"Um, I'd like to see Mr. Takayama!"
Yue Longze said sincerely.
"That guy Mumu..."
The young man scratched his head. "He joined XIG recently, so I can't say for sure when he'll be back."
"Is that so..."
Yue Longze pondered for a moment. "Then could you give me his cell phone number?"
"That's no problem at all!"
The young man readily agreed, then pulled out a key and opened the tightly locked laboratory door.
...
"Here, this is Mumu's number!"
The young man briskly used a fountain pen to write Takayama Mumu's contact information on a small strip of white paper.
"Thank you so much!"
Yue Longze took the slip of paper with Mumu's number on it, feeling deeply grateful.
"You're welcome!"
The young man rummaged through a desk drawer in the laboratory, pulled out a brown wallet, and shook it in his hand. "Actually, I just came by to pick up the wallet I left here earlier."
The young man flashed a smile. "By the way, what does mister want with Mumu?"
"Uh, well... I do have a few matters..."
Yue Longze suddenly felt unsure of how to answer.
"Ah, I'm sorry..."
Realizing he had asked something Yue Longze might not want to answer, the young man quickly bowed slightly.
"It's fine."
Yue Longze waved his hand. "I still don't know your name!"
"Just call me Ah Cheng!"
The young man smiled as he pushed the drawer back in.
"Then Mr. Ah Cheng can just call me Yue Long."
As he spoke, Yue Longze tucked the slip of paper containing Mumu's contact info into his pants pocket and walked out of the quantum physics laboratory together with Ah Cheng.
...
"See you later, Yue Long-kun!"
At the main gate of Jonan University, Yue Longze bid farewell to Ah Cheng. Along the way, Yue Longze had learned that this guy was in a rush to go on a date, which was why he had accidentally left his wallet in the lab.
"Have a smooth date, Mr. Ah Cheng!"
Yue Longze waved goodbye, astonished at how easily he had managed to obtain Mumu's contact information today.
...
Humming a little tune all the way, he returned home in high spirits, only to find the Three Hairs still sweating profusely from their training.
"Hah!"
"Hya!"
...
"Such three hardworking young men!"
Stepping through the door, Yue Longze paused for a moment before a smile curved the corners of his lips.
"Boss, you're back!"
The Three Hairs stopped what they were doing and respectfully greeted Yue Longze.
"Yeah."
Yue Longze grunted in acknowledgment, kicked off his flip-flops, and slumped onto the sofa.
"Green Hair, go cook me a bowl of ramen first. Make sure not to boil it too soft."
"And then empty out all your savings; I need to go buy a cell phone."
Yue Longze said without the slightest bit of politeness. He needed a cell phone now to make future communications convenient, especially for contacting Mumu going forward.
