Chapter One Hundred Forty-Six
Yue Longze could only rely on his instincts to make guesses.
Ever since he realized this was the spacetime of Gaia Ultraman, Yue Longze had been regretting why he hadn’t watched Gaia Ultraman over and over before!
But having only glanced at it carelessly once, Yue Longze had almost completely forgotten the plot of Gaia Ultraman.
...
In an instant, time on Earth ceased to flow. All living and non-living things around froze instantly.
The fountain stopped gushing, and the fluttering leaves hung motionless in the air.
Everyone became like lifelike statues.
This was the phenomenon caused by the Gaia light summoned by I Dream!
However, at this moment, since Yue Longze was also an Ultraman, he was not caught in this mystical time freeze.
Yue Longze saw the surroundings rapidly transform: the once cold concrete ground visibly faded away, replaced by a brown earth surface, with scorching lava flowing slowly nearby.
Such an environment was very familiar to Yue Longze; he had encountered several planets with molten lava surfaces like this in the Land of Light spacetime.
Yet Yue Longze knew this was still Earth. He could feel the strong essence of the land!
He looked up again and saw a luminous giant standing on this brown terrain, while I Dream was floating in the air, facing that glowing giant—Gaia!
...
“This is... I Dream receiving Gaia’s light?”
Yue Longze pondered briefly, then affirmed his thought.
He saw I Dream murmuring to himself, while the giant Gaia nodded occasionally, his chest rising and falling gently.
Gaia, however, subtly turned his head to glance at Yue Longze in the distance.
I Dream did not notice Gaia’s action and remained immersed in Gaia’s light.
Yue Longze sensed Gaia’s gaze but was not alarmed; he merely gave a slight nod towards the giant.
...
“Whoosh!”
Suddenly, the light intensified greatly—though dazzling, it was warm. This was I Dream merging with Gaia’s light.
Yue Longze stood quietly on the brown earth, witnessing with his own eyes how I Dream fused into the towering giant.
...
“Shsh—!”
The surrounding scene shattered like a broken mirror and swiftly faded away.
Yue Longze returned to the previous normal view.
Time began flowing once more.
The frozen fountain joyfully gushed again.
The leaves that had hung motionless in the air resumed fluttering in the breeze.
People continued their actions as before.
No one noticed anything unusual.
With a tremendous roar, a red-and-silver giant of light heavily landed on the earth.
As Gaia’s massive feet struck down, the ground trembled and dust billowed instantly!
The giant Gaia had made his grand entrance!
At this moment, Yue Longze suddenly recalled a phrase in his heart.
“The Earth Destroyer.”
This was a nickname people gave Gaia Ultraman in the original world.
Now, Yue Longze finally understood why Gaia was called the Earth Destroyer...
This style of appearance... the damage to the ground was truly no ordinary matter!
...
The crowd erupted in excitement.
A ferocious giant beast and a glowing giant.
This day had delivered too much shock to the people!
...
I Dream, having received Gaia’s light and merged with Gaia Ultraman, was now fiercely battling the monster—Gobu!
Yue Longze originally intended to take the Three Hairless Ones straight home.
But he was somewhat worried that his presence might trigger some butterfly effect in this spacetime.
He had experienced such before in the second Tiga spacetime.
Glancing hesitantly at Gaia Ultraman, who was gaining the upper hand against Gobu, Yue Longze decided to take the Three Hairless Ones home immediately.
After all, this place was still relatively unsafe.
...
Yue Longze told the Three Hairless Ones to quickly follow him, but they coyly refused to leave.
Because such a scene was too breathtaking! Too spectacular!
Yue Longze gave each of the Three Hairless Ones a sharp knock on their shiny bald heads, yet they still didn’t want to go.
“Boss! Just watch a little longer!”
“Yeah, yeah! This is the real miracle now!”
...
The Three Hairless Ones tried to persuade Yue Longze to stay and watch some more, but he shook his head. These three fools had no idea how dangerous the monster before them truly was.
Moreover, the more people around, the harder it was for Ultraman to fight freely.
At this moment, Green Hair’s eyes gleamed with fervor; he held an almost fanatical reverence and obsession for such supernatural power.
Ignoring Yue Longze’s scolding, Green Hair seized a moment when Yue Longze wasn’t paying attention and dashed toward the battlefield between Gaia and Gobu!
The distance was far, but Green Hair’s admiration for this supernatural power was overwhelming. That giant of light was magnificent! So heroic!
...
“Great giant! Here I come!”
Green Hair ran, shouting wildly, filled with excitement.
Yue Longze was momentarily stunned. He hadn’t expected the usually obedient Green Hair to do something so reckless.
“Really a handful,” Yue Longze cursed silently, dragging his still heavily plastered left arm and striding after Green Hair.
Green Hair ran like he was on an energy boost, moving extremely fast, beyond normal limits.
Of course, even with this superhuman effort, Green Hair couldn’t outrun Yue Longze.
Still, it took Yue Longze, whose body was not yet fully healed, considerable time to catch up.
When Yue Longze caught up, they were less than two hundred meters from the battlefield between Gaia and Gobu.
At this moment, Gaia, holding the upper hand, was nearing the end of the fight.
“Green Hair! You don’t even listen to the boss anymore!”
Yue Longze grabbed Green Hair’s arm tightly with his strong right arm, trying to pull him away.
“Boss, I beg you!” Green Hair’s voice carried a hint of tears. He was too obsessed with this supernatural power. “Let me witness this miracle up close!”
“No!” Yue Longze refused outright. This place was truly too dangerous!
“The footage will definitely be broadcast on TV later. You can watch it all you want when you get home!”
As he spoke, Yue Longze kept pulling Green Hair back. No matter how much Green Hair struggled, it was useless.
Meanwhile, broken buildings and flying debris continued scattering around.
This was perilous. The two figures appearing on the originally empty ground caught Gaia’s attention—actually, I Dream’s too.
They fought even more cautiously now, abandoning the idea of using a finishing move to end Gobu’s life.
