Volume One, Chapter 83: Torekia
Libert leapt up from the ground, but Torregia froze him in place with a single gesture, then said with a cheerful smile, “There’s no need to continue, but we’ll meet again soon.”
Bang—
With a flick of Torregia’s finger, Libert was sent hurtling through the air as if struck by a meteor. When he regained his senses, Torregia had already vanished without a trace.
“Where did he go?” Libert looked around, and finding no one, leapt out of the alternate space.
By now, the battle outside was nearing its end. Galaxy and the others had all shifted into their ultimate forms, preparing to deliver the final blow to the Dark Ultra Killer.
The ever-observant Zero spotted Libert and quickly asked, “So, did you find out who’s behind all this?”
He had sensed Libert’s presence long ago, though he kept it to himself.
Libert nodded, his expression somber. “It’s Torregia.”
“What!” Zero was startled, his fists clenching tighter as he gritted his teeth. “So it really is him.”
Ever since returning from another dimension, he had suspected Torregia’s involvement in this affair.
Most importantly, this was the Plasma Galaxy.
Zero cast a glance at the increasingly frantic Dark Ultra Killer, and at last, without hesitation, used the energy in his bracelet to recover swiftly and switched into his Infinite Form.
In Infinite Form, Zero’s body was adorned with purple markings, three crystals gleamed on his forehead, and his head fin had transformed into four sharp blades.
Refusing to be outdone, the Dark Ultra Killer absorbed the malice of the entire planet into his body, and his form instantly doubled in size.
At that moment, a sphere of light descended from the sky, landing beside Galaxy.
At the sight of him, the Dark Ultra Killer let out a howl filled with resentment and fury. “Taro!”
“It ends here, Dark Ultra Killer.” Taro’s expression was calm, yet his eyes brimmed with urgent concern.
His gaze swept over the scene, finally settling on Libert.
Libert understood what he wanted to ask, but shook his head, indicating nothing.
A flash of disappointment crossed Taro’s eyes, but he had no choice but to turn his focus back to the Dark Ultra Killer. “Everyone, channel your energy into the Strym Bracelet—let’s finish him in one strike!”
“Yes!”
The Ultras responded in unison, each pouring their light into Galaxy’s Strym Bracelet.
In an instant, Galaxy’s aura soared, the energy he radiated surpassing even that of a star, reaching a terrifying cosmic level.
Galaxy spun the bracelet’s dial, aligning it with Taro, and then growled, “Super Ultra Explosion!”
In a flash, a terrifying blaze enveloped Galaxy, who then crashed fiercely into the Dark Ultra Killer.
In an instant, flames engulfed the Dark Ultra Killer, searing into his body, burning his flesh and soul.
“Aaah—!”
The Dark Ultra Killer screamed in agony, trying to smother the flames with his dark energy, but to no avail.
“This is the might of us Ultra Warriors,” Galaxy intoned, every word heavy as he pierced straight through the Dark Ultra Killer’s chest.
Boom—
Charred flesh flew in all directions as the Dark Ultra Killer’s entire chest was blown apart.
From the gaping wound, it was clear that his insides had been scorched crimson, exploding with the power of the Ultra Bomb.
As the battle drew to a close, Grigio finally returned to her brothers’ side.
Blu couldn’t help but complain on the spot, “Really, you had us worried sick.”
“Sorry,” Grigio bowed her head apologetically, mumbling, “It’s all Zero’s fault anyway.”
“In any case,” Rosso spoke up, “it’s good that you’re safe.”
Everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief, their voices ringing out in laughter and camaraderie.
“Don’t let your guard down,” Zero interrupted at just the wrong moment, his expression grave. “There’s still someone behind all this. We can’t afford to relax yet.”
“Are you talking about me, Zero?”
A haunting voice drifted over.
The Ultras turned, startled.
“Torregia!”
At the mention of the name, Galaxy and the others exchanged confused glances.
Who was Torregia?
Why had they never heard of him?
Zero stepped to the front of the group, enunciating each word, “He’s the traitor of the Land of Light—Ultraman Torregia!”
When Torregia defected from the Land of Light, Zero happened to be liberating the Plasma Spark Tower.
Though he’d been forcibly sent to Planet K76, he had heard about Torregia from Leo.
Moreover, after their encounter in another dimension, Zero’s impression of Torregia had grown even deeper.
“A traitor… to the Land of Light!”
The new generation warriors were visibly shaken, finally understanding Zero’s meaning.
Geed’s eyes flickered with complicated emotion as he muttered, “Just like my father… he too betrayed the Land of Light.”
Torregia chuckled softly, his gaze sweeping over them one by one, finally coming to rest on Taro.
Taro’s expression tightened; taking a deep breath, he stepped forward. “Torregia, are you really going to persist on this path?”
“How laughable,” Torregia sneered, his expression unchanged. “Taro, you never see beyond the surface, do you?”
“I have never been wrong. The one at fault is this world.”
Seeing Torregia’s madness, pain flashed in Taro’s eyes, but he continued to plead, “Come back with us to the Land of Light. I can guide you, help you feel the light again.”
The others were taken aback—wasn’t this man a Dark Ultra Warrior? What did Taro mean by this?
Torregia’s sneer deepened, his retort sharp and merciless. “Enough, Taro. In this world, there is no true light, nor true darkness.”
“I’ll prove it to you, and to the entire universe.”
Without giving Taro a chance to speak further, a dimensional portal opened behind Torregia, engulfing him in an instant as he disappeared.
“Don’t run!” Galaxy shouted, immediately giving chase.
“Wait!” Taro tried to stop them, but saw Orb and the others rush after as well.
Left with no choice, Taro gritted his teeth and followed.
For a moment, only Zero and Grigio remained on Planet Tenebris.
The two stood in silence for a long time, until Zero finally broke it. “In that case, let me take you home first. Then I’ll go support the others.”
Back in the killer’s space, even though he had given most of his energy to Grigio, her body was still weak and she struggled to withstand it.
Continuing to fight would be too dangerous.
Grigio understood her condition, hesitated, then nodded. “Alright. Thank you, Zero.”
“Let’s go, then.” Zero donned his Ultimate Armor once more, made a gentle sweep before him, and opened a portal to another dimension.
