"I am the Ultimate Life Form, a warrior of the Absolutians—Absolutian Diavolo."

The Ultimate Life Form!

These five words instantly sent a chill down everyone's spines, filling their hearts with sudden terror.

Though Regulos had lost his past memories, he still possessed a clear understanding of the power hierarchy in the universe.

The Ultimate Life Form—this weighty term acted undoubtedly like a basin of freezing water, extinguishing all his emotions in that instant.

What remained was nothing but despair.

"To think it's an Ultimate Life Form..." Feng Buzhu and Lou Yuan stared at Diavolo in horror. When their gazes landed on the crimson mark upon his chest, their pupils constricted and they cried out in unison: "That's Master Reuting's Hard-Force Demolishing Ox Fist!"

Linglan's eyes trembled, widening to their absolute limit. "Master... How is Master's Space Beast Seal on you?!"

"Heh, this was mine to begin with." Diavolo stroked his chest with self-pity, grinning broadly. "Though that old codger Reuting really had me fooled—I pretended to be a martial artist for so long, yet he never showed a single flaw. I even had to go out of my way to find the Magma Seijin myself. If I hadn't taken advantage of the chaos, it wouldn't have been easy to make a move. Hahahahaha!"

"What did you say? The Magma Seijin..." Regulos finally dragged himself up from the ground, his eyes suffused with a bloody glow, his teeth nearly grinding to powder.

If the Magma Seijin were acting under the instructions of this Ultimate Life Form, then Planet L77, and Leo...

"Di... a... vo... lo!" Regulos shouted his name, syllable by syllable, his voice low yet roaring like a beast trapped in a cage, deafening and full of fury.

He had memorized this name. Until the day he killed him, he would never forget it.

The other three reacted instantly as well, their faces displaying stark terror.

Yet facing an Ultimate Life Form, they could not even muster the slightest sliver of courage to fight back in the depths of their hearts.

"Well, it's about time I sent you all to the afterlife." Diavolo's patience had worn thin, a look of sadistic pleasure surfacing on his face. "Once you're dead, I will be the sole master of the Space Beast Fist in this world. Hehehehe."

Perhaps to flaunt his status as a grandmaster of the Space Beast Fist, Diavolo did not unleash his power as an Ultimate Life Form, choosing instead to execute the Hard-Force Demolishing Ox Fist, a style in which he was not yet fully proficient.

Yet, no matter how low his proficiency, it was still more than enough to effortlessly slaughter any Stellar-level warrior.

And Regulos and the others—barring the deceased Wang Xiao—were all merely Planetary-level warriors.

Watching that Space Beast Fist mark, which belonged exclusively to Master Reuting, solidify step by step, Regulos and his companions closed their eyes one after another, as if resigning themselves to embrace death.

However, at that very moment, electromagnetic-like crackles suddenly flickered across Diavolo's body, and his entire form began to strobe unsteadily, as if he might vanish in the next second.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Diavolo looked down at his own hands in bewilderment. Not two seconds later, an expression of realization dawned upon his face, and he murmured softly to himself, "So that's how it is. That Toraregia actually hails from a future spacetime."

He raised his head, casting a chilling gaze toward Regulos and the others, and spoke in a cold voice, "It seems I must finish this quickly."

The moment his words fell, Diavolo's figure vanished from the spot like a phantom.

"Ah!"

Feng Buzhu's miserable scream exploded close to his ear. Regulos instinctively whipped his head around, only to see Feng Buzhu's body toppling downward, accompanied by a jetting fountain of blood arterial spray in mid-air.

"Ah!!"

Another shriek rang out, and Regulos's body shuddered.

This time, the one who fell was Lou Yuan.

Yet he hadn't even caught a glimpse of Diavolo's shadow.

An Ultimate Life Form—was it truly this overwhelmingly powerful?

Regulos's heart was filled with bitter reluctance and despair. Suddenly, a chill swept over his back, and the suffocating aura of impending death closed in upon him.

Regulos closed his eyes, resigning himself to his fate. What he failed to notice was that the moment Diavolo appeared, a petite figure lunged forward with everything she had.

Splat—

The sound of flesh being pierced echoed, yet he felt no pain whatsoever.

Puzzled, Regulos opened his eyes just in time to see Linglan's blood-stained body toppling toward him, collapsing directly into his arms.

Simultaneously, Diavolo's grinning, blood-smeared face slowly drifted into his field of vision.

Yet Regulos had no mind to look at him now; he simply caught Linglan with a stagger and crashed down to the ground.

"Linglan... Linglan..." He cried out her name frantically, pressing his hands desperately against her abdomen, pouring every ounce of his remaining strength into an attempt to stem the flowing blood.

Buoyed by his energy, a trace of color visibly returned to Linglan's pale face.

Only she knew, however, that this was merely the brief, deceptive flash of vitality before death.

"Regulos..." Linglan gripped his hand tightly, her voice weak. "Leave me be... run away... go find the junior apprentice brother... he'll surely find a way to deal with that monster... cough, cough..."

Mid-sentence, Linglan violently coughed up a large mouthful of blood, staining the already crimson fabric at her chest an even deeper shade of red.

Regulos remained silent, his eyes locked onto the gruesome, gaping hole torn straight through Linglan's abdomen by Diavolo's fist. Without holding anything back, he channeled his entire reservoir of energy into his hands, continuously pouring it into her body.

Thump, thump, thump...

Footsteps approached, and in Regulos's peripheral vision, a pair of legs clad in golden armor came into view.

"Heh, how touching." Diavolo looked down with utter mockery at the two junior martial siblings who had spent so much time with him. With a ruthless glint in his eyes, he lashed out viciously with a kick.

Bang—

The kick sent both Linglan and Regulos flying backward together, crashing heavily against the ground.

"Pch—" Linglan, already at death's door, spat out another mist of blood. She lay limply on the ground as the faint light in her eyes gradually faded into darkness.

"No..." Regulos scrambled on all fours toward Linglan, his eyes bloodshot, his heart overflowing with hatred.

Just as he reached out his hand to channel energy into her once more, a pale purple radiance drifted upward from Linglan's body.

Regulos froze instantly, his pupils contracting frantically. Like a soulless puppet, his gaze completely lost its focal point.

For that was the unique power of a Space Beast, one that only manifested after the death of a Beast Fighter.

With the contractor dead, the power of the Space Beast would detach from them, returning to its true form while awaiting the next Beast Fighter to forge a pact.
