Volume 1, Chapter 149: 66
For the next period of time, Tregear followed Wang Xiao and officially began practicing the Space Phantom Beast Fist. His status also transformed from an Ultra Warrior into the well-known youngest disciple of Planet D60.
However, this youngest disciple was not as easy to get along with as one might have imagined. Every day, after finishing Wang Xiao's foundational lessons, he would leave by himself, standing quietly on a nearby mountain peak to meditate with his eyes closed.
Another day came to an end. After finishing his final set of Phantom Beast Fist forms, Tregear turned around and prepared to leave. At that moment, Rinling skipped over with a cute smile on her face. Seeing Tregear, she instinctively reached into the basket she was holding, picked a freshly plucked fruit, and handed it to him: "Here, you must be tired. Have one to quench your thirst."
Unexpectedly, Tregear did not even spare her a glance. He simply brushed past her and flew into the distance.
"Hmph, what a cold and aloof person." Faiting to receive any warmth, Rinling let out a soft huff and made a playful face at Tregear's departing back.
"If he doesn't want it, give it to me then." Regulos walked over, snatched the fruit right out of Rinling's hand, and took a crunchy bite. Fruit juice splattered everywhere, and a faint, refreshing fragrance instantly drifted into the air.
A smile bloomed on Rinling's face once again as she picked up another fruit and tossed it to Dias, who was also walking over. Dias caught it, and while eating, asked, "I heard from Leo that Tregear is a scientist from the Land of Light. Did you guys know about that?"
"A scientist?" Regulos wore a curious expression and hurriedly asked, "Is he a scientist who develops all kinds of weapons and equipment, just like the ones on D60?"
"More or less," Dias replied. "However, the scientists from the Land of Light are far more powerful than those on D60."
"That is indeed true," Rinling nodded in agreement. "I heard Master Reysting say that the greatest invention of the Land of Light is their energy core, the Plasma Spark. It's precisely because of that that they possess such formidable power and are able to protect the entire universe."
When the "Plasma Spark" was mentioned, Dias's expression turned slightly peculiar for a moment before he smiled and said, "Ah, the Plasma Spark. That is truly an extraordinary invention, hehe."
No one detected the sarcasm in his tone. Regulos swung his arms like a grand lama and left the training grounds together with Rinling.
Dias, who remained behind, nodded slightly, looking in the direction where Tregear had left, his gaze pitch black and fathomless. He had already investigated the matter: there indeed was someone named Tregear in the Land of Light, but he had defected from the Land of Light quite some time ago. What made it even more interesting was that he had actually joined the Dark Universe, becoming the Fifth Heavenly King alongside the Dark Four Heavenly Kings.
If that was the case, then his purpose in coming here must be the same as his own—to seize the Space Phantom Beasts.
Dias's eyes flickered with a cold light. Casually pulling out a communicator, he said in a chilling tone, "Inform Alien Empera to keep his subordinates in line. If anyone dares to ruin my plans, I don't mind seeing the Dark Universe undergo a dynasty change."
"Understood... My Lord!"
The person on the other end of the communicator acknowledged the order respectfully and immediately dispatched men to the Dark Universe.
Dark Universe.
At this moment, Alien Empera was preparing his plans to invade Earth. For this purpose, he had summoned the Five Heavenly Kings early on, hoping that his esteemed ministers could offer some strategic advice. Naturally, the Four Heavenly Kings did not dare to procrastinate and rushed over the very moment they received the command.
However, what baffled them was that the Fifth Heavenly King, Tregear, had still not shown up.
Sure enough, Alien Empera, sitting upon his high seat, furrowed his brows. "Where is Tregear? Why hasn't he arrived yet?"
"This humble minister does not know," Mephilas replied, shaking his head and speaking respectfully. "I suppose that, having just obtained Your Majesty's power, he is momentarily intoxicated by it and is currently seeking someone out on some planet to test his abilities."
"Hmph!" Grozam let out a cold snort from the side, making no effort to conceal his disgust for Tregear. "I think he suddenly acquired power and has become so arrogant and conceited that he dares to disobey Your Majesty's commands."
Desumaster and Yapool said nothing, but discontent was clearly written across both of their faces as well.
"Reporting!"
At that moment, a soldier guarding outside the hall came tumbling and crawling in, his expression panicked as he cried out, "Y-Y-Y-Your... Majesty... ah!"
Before he could finish his sentence, a foot imbued with golden light stamped him down into the ground, instantly reducing him to dust.
"Who goes there!"
The Four Heavenly Kings turned their gazes simultaneously, unleashing four distinct stellar-grade auras that violently suppressed the audacious intruder who had suddenly broken in.
Faced with the terrifying pressure emanating from the Four Heavenly Kings, the man's expression remained completely unchanged. The look in his eyes as he gazed at them even carried a deep sense of disdain.
He raised his arm, his golden sword pointing straight at Alien Empera on the throne, his deep voice shaking the hall: "I am an Absolute Life Form, a warrior of the Absolutians, Absolute Titan."
"What? An Absolute Life Form?!" Alien Empera, who had previously been as steady as a mountain upon his seat, shook violently all over, nearly tumbling off his imperial throne. He leaped to his feet, his face revealing panic, though it vanished almost instantly as he let out a furious roar: "Audacious wretch, how dare you refer to yourself as such in my presence! Take him down!"
How many Absolute Life Forms were there in the universe? He could count them on one hand. Unfortunately for him, he knew every single one of them personally, and moreover, they resided right here in the Dark Universe—they were figures of his ancestors' generation.
Yet now, someone had suddenly broken in, claiming to be an Absolute Life Form.
Heh.
Those were the only two words he could muster. Furthermore, even if the intruder truly were an Absolute Life Form, so what? As the dignified Emperor of the Dark Universe, his strength was unfathomable and unpredictable. Coupled with the pure darkness of his origin, he was not a whit inferior to any Absolute Life Form.
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
The very instant Empera's final word fell, the Dark Four Heavenly Kings struck simultaneously, stirring up four sweeping tempests of darkness that lunged fiercely toward Titan.
"Court death!" Titan's gaze turned sharply cold as his golden sword slashed horizontally.
Instantly, a cruciform golden blade of light shot forth, colliding head-on with the Dark Four Heavenly Kings.
Boom—
Amidst a deafening roar, the combined power of the Dark Four Heavenly Kings instantly disintegrated. They could not even hold out for a single second; like mud in a rainstorm, their attack shattered completely.
Alien Empera furrowed his brows, his expression sinking abruptly as he finally realized the gravity of the situation. With a casual wave of his hand, he shattered the remaining momentum of the golden blade that had crushed the Four Heavenly Kings and was still hurtling toward him. He said in a deep voice, "Just who on earth are you?"
"Oh? Finally willing to look me in the eye and speak?" Titan slowly raised his gaze, his voice cold. "Our Kingdom is currently executing a plan, but your subordinate Tregear has barged in without authorization. I advise you to call him back immediately, otherwise—"
With that, Titan lightly traced a line across the air with the golden sword in his hand. A black scar immediately etched itself into the vision of Alien Empera and the Dark Four Heavenly Kings, the threat hanging heavy in the air.
