Volume 1, Chapter 113: The Final Battle (Part 3)
Boom—
A violent explosion caught the attention of the Garum brothers.
They were besieging Jonias, unable to overpower him but managing to hold their own.
Yet the shockwave from behind forced them to turn around.
Whoosh—
The white mist that had enveloped the area was instantly scattered by a surging gust.
Emerging into view was Zero, his entire body gleaming with radiant light.
This form was unlike anything they—or even the Ultramen of the Land of Light—had seen before.
His timer glowed blue, his eyes shone sapphire, and a sacred light flashed across his entire being. His coloration and armor were markedly different from before.
Were it not for the faint contours of Zero’s face, no one would have doubted he was an entirely new Ultraman.
“What is this?” Magna cursed angrily. “Why do these damn Ultramen always keep changing forms? Damn it!”
He had nearly succeeded against Bareru moments ago, only to be immobilized by a strange force.
No—not just immobilized, but reverted. It was the power of time!
Bareru said nothing but wore a grim expression.
The power of time was, in a sense, already a legendary force.
“Help! Someone save me!” a desperate roar echoed across the battlefield.
Bareru glanced to the side and saw several stellar-class warriors falling under a combined beam from the Ultramen.
The owners of those beams were none other than Ginga and his companions.
As new-generation warriors, their combat prowess was incomparable to ordinary stellar-class fighters.
Their various forms aside—
Most importantly, they could merge!
And when they merged, their fighting power rose by leaps and bounds.
“Looks like it’s time to deploy the Dark Warriors.”
Bareru glanced upward at Torea locked in stalemate with the Ultraman King, then suddenly turned and unleashed a streak of dark energy into the dim void ahead.
Crack—
A rift tore open within Grimde’s Evil God Domain, and in the darkness of the breach, pairs of blood-red eyes ignited.
Crack—
The fissure widened, and a horde of Dark Ultramen poured forth.
Among them were dark aspects of legendary figures like the original Zoffy, alongside many Dark Lops Zero.
But most striking were the dark forms of the new-generation warriors—and Zero’s own dark side.
“Kill!”
A chilling word escaped Bareru’s lips, and the Dark Warriors in the sky raised their arms in unison, unleashing waves of dark beams that swept across the entire battlefield.
Boom—
The first barrage passed, claiming countless Ultramen, including cosmic beings and monsters locked in combat with Ultramen, without distinction of friend or foe.
Witnessing this, many kings of various species furrowed their brows.
Though aware of the Dark Warriors’ existence, no one had expected indiscriminate attacks before the battle commenced.
As the first wave fell, a second wave followed immediately.
Countless beams shot forth simultaneously, creating a vast celestial net that enveloped the entire battlefield.
Having witnessed the devastating power moments before, the Ultramen dared not hesitate; they quickly activated Ultraman barriers to defend.
The cosmic beings likewise retreated swiftly to a safer distance.
For a time, only a small group of Ultramen led by Zero remained on the battlefield.
Correspondingly, Bareru’s forces were also few in number.
“Give up the resistance. Continuing like this will only lead to mutual destruction,” a calm voice echoed from within the Land of Light’s barrier. “Why must it come to life or death?”
The barrier opened, and the Ultraman Father, cloaked in a mantle, flew forward and hovered before Zero and the others.
He fixed his gaze on Bareru and the cosmic warriors and continued, “For the sake of Torea—the traitor of the Land of Light—is it truly worth risking the lives of all our people?”
“Enough nonsense!” the leader of the Empire Star People barked. “This universe will never be peaceful with your Ultraman clan around. You must be eradicated!”
“Exactly!” roared a Zarabian. “My father was killed by you Ultramen! This grudge must be avenged!”
“Right! Countless lives have been lost at your Ultramen’s hands over the years—kill or be killed! Damn your entire Ultraman race!”
The Ultraman Father was speechless.
“Brothers, say no more,” shouted a Slanian. “From this day forward, the Ultraman clan must be expunged from the universe!!!”
“That’s right!”
“Damn those Ultramen, may they all die!”
“To hell with them!”
“…”
The expressions of the cosmic leaders were filled with rage and hatred, as if they would gladly decapitate the Ultraman Father and use his head as a chamber pot.
The only voice of reason appeared, and the Ultraman Father’s eyes brightened.
“Oh? By all means, do tell.”
The Ultramen had always been lovers of peace, maintaining cosmic order and helping many species rebuild their homes.
“Heh heh… Ahahaha!”
Bareru laughed, and many cosmic leaders laughed with him.
“Those damned fools, laughing even in the face of death.”
Taiga cursed and moved to charge forward.
“Wait,” the Ultraman Father stopped him, shaking his head slightly. “Don’t act rashly. Let’s hear what they have to say.”
“Heh heh heh…” Bareru sneered, enunciating each word deliberately. “I won’t speak for other races, but take my Baltan clan as an example.”
“Ultraman Father, do you know who built the Plasma Spark Tower of the Land of Light?”
“Of course,” the Ultraman Father nodded. “It was developed by Hikari and many scientists of the Land of Light. The completion of the Plasma Spark Tower made the Land of Light what it is today.”
These facts were no secret in the universe, so there was no need for evasion.
“Then do you know that our Baltan homeworld’s destruction was because of your Land of Light?”
At these words, Bareru’s eyes blazed red, and his aura grew wildly unstable.
Behind him, the Baltan clan leader’s face twisted in pain, teeth clenched tightly as he emitted a grinding sound.
The Ultraman Father did not respond immediately but fell silent for a moment, then frowned and said, “I sympathize with your clan’s displacement.”
“But your planet’s explosion seems to have been caused by your own Baltan clan’s nuclear experiments gone awry, does it not?”
“What does that have to do with my Land of Light?!”
