“Quick!”
“Angel, take out that tank!”

At the front line.

Angel swiftly leapt out of the shell crater and charged toward the Libyan Soviet-made T-55 tank. The T-55 was a typical product from the Soviet era, armed with a 100mm main gun whose firepower was average, but its impressive top speed of 50 kilometers per hour gave this bulky beast exceptional mobility. At less than 200 meters, it would be upon them in the blink of an eye.

Time was running out.

Li Changjiang pulled the trigger repeatedly—bang, bang, bang!

The bullets sliced through the air like the scythe of death, cutting down the Libyan rebels who were trying to break through the fireline behind the tank.

“Fuck!”

A sudden “pop” sounded as a bullet fired from a Libyan’s gun pierced Angel’s left leg. The massive inertia threw him to the ground, blood gushing out uncontrollably.

“Abraham! Abraham! Damn it! Angel’s been hit!”

Seeing this, Li Changjiang quickly aimed his sniper rifle—an L115A3 firing unique 0.338-inch rounds. The bullets instantly pierced through the men firing at Angel. But Angel’s movement was now hindered, and the T-55 had already crossed the defense line, charging straight ahead, less than five meters from the fallen Angel.

For a T-55 moving at 50 kilometers per hour, it would crush Angel in the blink of an eye.

“Damn it!”

“Tank, cover me!”

“Hitman” Garcia swiftly vaulted over the tank’s frontal armor, his body nearly brushing the cannon barrel as he rolled over with a near-twisted posture, clutching Angel and dragging him to the other side.

Boom!

With a deafening explosion, the T-55 abruptly stalled.

Angel’s grenade, as it skimmed over the tank’s frontal armor, had precisely latched onto the tank’s tracks.

The grenade detonated violently, sparks flying and the grinding halt of the tracks shattered the Libyans’ last hope.

Amidst the stunned expressions of the British and the Tunisian soldiers behind them,

Li Changjiang kept firing, completely quashing the last wave of Libyan attacks before they could regroup, and utterly crushing their will to continue the assault. He then immediately turned to retreat, but the staccato gunfire persisted.

Only after moving beyond the effective range of the AK74M and M4A1 rifles did the casualties cease. Yet that massive tank had broken through the defense line, its PKM still spitting fire relentlessly.

“Ah—”

“Fuck!”

“Fuck! Damn bastards!”

With a heavy German accent, curses spat from his mouth.

Facing the morning light, time seemed to freeze in that moment.

The dawn’s light faintly revealed a pale, milky hue. At the horizon over the Mediterranean waters, the red sun slowly rose, its crimson glow as vivid and bloodlike as ever.

Everyone was momentarily stunned.

Many held their heads, tears of joy streaming down their faces—even the Tunisian border soldiers silently watched the dozen or so figures in the distance.

God!

God!

This can’t be real!

Is this real?

It’s terrifying!

Those damn Libyans have been pushed back.

“Hey! Hey! Hey! Report the current situation immediately, damn it!”

Inside the border outpost, the Tunisian officer holding the radio was completely stunned, his gaze fixed blankly on the mercenaries silhouetted against the dawn. On the other end of the radio, curses erupted.

Meanwhile, in the shell crater,

Li Changjiang seemed to lose all strength.

Slowly releasing the rifle’s buttstock, his limbs stiffened. Just as he fired the last bullet, a mechanical voice echoed in his mind:

“Hundred percent accuracy skill used up! Cooldown time: 3 days!”

Buzz—

Suddenly a roaring noise filled his brain, a strange sensation like a receding tide left him feeling utterly drained as if his entire body had been instantly emptied. His tense nerves slackened abruptly, and overwhelming fatigue swept through his mind.

Without a sound, he collapsed.

“Fuck! Boss! Boss!”

“Damn it, tank! Tank! Come help me get the boss out.”

Doctors and tank crew scrambled to lift Li Changjiang from the crater. On the other side, Hitman supported Angel, whose leg had been hit, as they made their way over, followed by the disheveled British agents and those they carried.

With their backs to the rising sun, the group quickly headed toward the Tunisian border.

The tense atmosphere thickened once more.

“Stop! Stop! Damn it!”

“This is the Tunisian border. No passes, no entry!”

“Stand down!”

Click!

Over a hundred rifles simultaneously aimed at the tank crew. The Russian and Elisa rushed over and gently laid Li Changjiang flat on the ground.

“Damn, he has no wounds!”

The Russian was stunned.

Li Changjiang had no injuries, not even a drop of fresh blood. Truly strange.

“Hey! Are you okay, mate?”

“Damn! Doctor! Doctor! Come check, the boss has passed out.”

The “doctor” immediately crouched down, checked Li Changjiang’s eyelids and pulse. His expression soon relaxed, which brought relief to the Russian and Elisa who had been intently watching.

“The boss is fine, just fainted from exhaustion. We need to leave here immediately to find a place for a full medical examination.”

At the border,

Tunisian soldiers still confronted refugees and the British. The MI5 head, Clark, clearly had no solution for the soldiers before him. Yet many refugees and Tunisian soldiers stared blankly at the fallen Li Changjiang.

This man was terrifying!

He alone had sniped over 200 Libyan rebels in under half an hour, all while enduring fierce attacks.

Truly terrifying!

The Russian suddenly stood, carrying Li Changjiang toward the border while slowly pulling from his pocket a tattered, nearly threadbare white paper, handing it to the Tunisian officer.

“This is my pass. Can I take my people through?”

After exchanging doubtful glances, the Tunisian officer immediately wore an expression as if seeing a ghost, seemingly incredulous, but nodded and raised his hand.

“Let them through.”

“Fuck! Why won’t they let us through?”

“Damn it!”

It was the British.

Behind them, apart from the dozen or so agents, the rest of the British, including Clark, were all blocked.

“You fucking bastards, let us through!”

“Oh my God! How is this happening!”

“Hey, mate, are we going to leave them behind?”

Keyboard cautiously asked the Russian as he approached.

“Damn the Brits, let them go to hell!” The Russian clearly had no mood to care about the British anymore; their mercenary contract had long since ended.

“Fuck! Wait!”

As if remembering something, the Russian suddenly set Li Changjiang down and turned back.

“Tell those bastards to let us through now!”

“Sorry, Mr. Clark, right? I think our mercenary contract has ended. But if you’re willing to pay the remaining half of the fee, maybe I’ll consider it!”

No one knew what the Russian handed the Tunisian officer as he turned back, but Keyboard, standing behind, saw it clearly.

“Fuck! Bastards!”

When the 50 million pounds contract was agreed upon, Li Changjiang and the Russian never expected to receive the remaining 25 million. But now, it seemed the Tunisians had given them a perfect opportunity.

Naturally, the Russian wasn’t going to miss this chance.

25 million pounds!

That was no small sum!
