When the cold voice echoed in his mind, Li Changjiang held his breath tightly. His heavy panting, accompanied by a racing heartbeat, awaited that god-like descending power.

On the skin of his fingertips, a delicate tactile sensation crawled all the way from the trigger up into his brain.

He pulled the trigger hard.

Bang!

The bullet slid out of the chamber, its spiral trajectory carrying a wisp of flame's breath. Bursting with lethal force along its rifled path, it pierced the air with a soft *thud* and embedded itself into the enemy's body.

The cruelty of war was presented before his eyes like a realistic painting.

However, Li Changjiang had no spare mind to ponder such a grandiose proposition.

All he needed to do was to kill every single enemy in front of him by any means possible.

Every single enemy, as long as they were still living creatures!

Without exception!

Bang, bang, bang!

He emptied the entire magazine in one breath.

"Tank, cover me!"

Swiftly reloading with a fresh magazine, the barrage of fire—resembling the scythe of the Grim Death—unleashed sparks of mortality once again. The continuous gunfire did not stand out amidst the rain-dense storm of bullets, but the Libyans opposite them soon realized something was terribly wrong.

Having just charged into the 200-meter firing range, the attacking forces began getting picked off one after another. Although the distance was short, there was no way their sprinting speed could outrun a bullet.

Fuck!

"Boss, you're amazing!"

"Fuck, God!"

The rest of them were so stunned by the terrifying lethality Li Changjiang had suddenly displayed that they forgot to shoot.

"Hurry up, they're coming again!"

Bang! Bang!

Yet, the moment Killer and Doctor raised their guns and before they could even pull the triggers, they watched a burst of blood flower directly from the foreheads of their targeted enemies, who then immediately collapsed.

Damn it!

Duke's speed was simply too fast!

This was by no means a shooting speed that humans could possibly achieve. Yet the gunfire beside their ears did not stop; instead, it pulsed at a crazily frantic tempo.

Thud!

Thud, thud!

Every time the trigger was pulled, a spent casing leaped right before his eyes. Yet Li Changjiang did not even blink, shifting the muzzle with extreme swiftness to rapidly capture the next target within fractions of a second.

Beside him, Angel was somewhat dazed. He even suspected that when Duke moved his muzzle and pulled the trigger for the next target, the previous bullet hadn't even struck its target yet.

Too fast!

Too terrifying!

"Quick, take cover! It's a sniper!"

"Hoolalalala!"

Those Libyans still rushed forward incessantly like a pack of madmen. It wasn't until Li Changjiang loaded his fifth magazine that they finally halted their steps and fled backward, vast clouds of sand and dust kicked up by the shockwaves of exploding grenades.

Not far away.

Less than a kilometer behind Li Changjiang and the others, a massive crowd of refugees and Tunisian soldiers were tightly jammed together. The intense gunfire rapidly ignited the fear buried in the hearts of the refugees, and a catastrophic riot was on the verge of brewing.

"Requesting backup! Repeat, requesting backup!"

"What the hell is wrong with those Libyans?"

Soon.

As the gunfire from the Libyans diminished, many people noticed that the attacking rebels were actually starting to retreat one after another.

Boom!

An artillery shell blasted straight out of the tank's barrel, exploding with a loud roar near the border.

Thud, thud!

The refugees standing closest were directly pierced by shrapnel. One of them let out a terrified wail only after seeing that his left leg had been cleanly severed.

"My God!"

"Oh my God!"

"Let us out! Let us out!"

"Everyone, charge! Rush through!"

Some people kept shouting loudly within the crowd of refugees, and the brewing riot quickly morphed into an outright confrontation. With the Grim Reaper closing in relentlessly from behind, they had no other choice besides breaking through the obstacle right before them.

Bang!

The sudden gunshot immediately caused all the refugees to drop to the ground with their heads in their hands, including Clark and the other Britons.

"Hey! We're British, damn it, we are British, let us through!"

Several British intelligence officers suddenly stood up, grabbing the barbed wire and iron fences tightly while shouting incessantly at the Tunisian soldiers. But what answered them was not goodwill, but gunfire.

Bang, bang, bang!

With a couple of *thuds*, bullets tore directly into the chest of one of the men. Vivid red blood instantly stained his entire front, shocking and horrifying to behold.

"Fuck!"

"Bastards, you bloody bastards! Claus! Claus!"

"God, Claus has been shot dead by them, oh God!"

"Fuck! Damned bandits!"

Clark went somewhat mad as he clutched the slain British man tightly, his face a mask of fury. Yet he knew all too well that they could not forcefully go up to reason with them; those damned soldiers certainly wouldn't show any mercy.

Meanwhile, at the defensive blocking line behind the crowd.

The gunfire in Li Changjiang's hands still had not ceased.

"Fuck, out of ammo!"

Just as the gunfire on Li Changjiang's side subsided.

The attacking Libyans immediately launched their second wave of assault.

"Tank, give me your gun!"

Discarding the sniper rifle in his hands, Li Changjiang rolled rapidly behind the tank and grabbed the stock of the PKM from him.

Bang!

Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!

Li Changjiang had never used a general-purpose machine gun to mow down enemies, nor was he certain whether the Hunting System's guaranteed-hit auxiliary skill applied equally to machine guns.

The gunfire erupted abruptly, carrying a rhythm entirely different from when the tank operated it.

Bang, bang!

Bang, bang, bang!

As expected.

The guaranteed-hit skill was ineffective with a machine gun.

Damn it!

"Hell, Tank, you take it."

Snatching an AK assault rifle that had scattered nearby off the ground, Li Changjiang attempted to aim briefly and then pulled the trigger rapidly. Within the 200-meter range, several rebel fighters who had just tried to rush forward were swiftly gunned down.

However, the functionality the AK assault rifle displayed in his hands fell far short of the terrifying lethality brought by a sniper rifle. The Hunting System, which fully aided sniper marksmanship, could not exert its guaranteed-hit effect here.

"Dammit! Give me a sniper rifle!"

"Sniper rifle, quick!"

Aside from Li Changjiang and the Old Russian, nobody else in the mercenary squad was equipped with a sniper rifle. The Old Russian had already escorted the others back toward the border. Cursing under his breath, Li Changjiang had no choice but to continue firing with the AK.

Meanwhile, of the meager 25 minutes originally allotted, the vast majority had already passed.

"Duke, ammo!"

A British agent suddenly scurried over and handed Li Changjiang a blood-stained magazine, filled with rounds for the L115A3 sniper rifle.

Glancing toward the agent's direction, he saw a corpse lying stiffly right behind him, alongside an L115A3 sniper rifle. This was evidently the ammunition assigned to that already-eliminated agent.

Clack.

He swiftly swapped in the new magazine.

Aim!

Within his field of vision, the expressions on the faces of the Libyans were already crystal clear.

Bang!

The immense momentum of the bullet flipped the Libyan rebel's body right over as it punched through his chest.

Immediately afterward, flashes of fire darted swiftly toward the advancing Libyans even as the morning dawn was just breaking. Thud! Thud! Thud!

Splashes of blood flew.

Li Changjiang mechanically repeated the firing motion over and over again. The Libyans failed to advance even a single step further, a feat that left the mercenary members—including Tank and Killer—as well as the British agents, utterly dumbfounded.

Oh my God! Too terrifying!

Simply too terrifying!

Is this really something a human being can accomplish?

The moment they were overtaken by the Libyans, they had almost believed they were surely going to die right here.

Yet that terrifying fellow had completely halted the Libyans' advance single-handedly with just a sniper rifle.

God!

It was like the descent of a deity. (To be continued.)
