Hu Xiong and Bai Chuan glanced into the floor, but saw nothing.

"Changqing and I will go check it out. You keep pushing upward," Bai Chuan said calmly.

"Understood." Hu Xiong nodded. As the acting team leader of the Seventh Group, he could not leave his post so easily.

Li Changqing and Bai Chuan entered the floor through the stairwell door. The floor was spacious, clearly the office area for the Jiade Group. Rows of cubicles were filled with computers. Although the lights were off, the space was dimly lit. Bai Chuan held his short blade in hand as the two walked slowly toward the office area. The entire floor was eerily silent, with only the sound of their own footsteps echoing.

They reached a corner and looked over. Hidden under a desk in a corner were two young men, appearing to be in their twenties and dressed in suits, their faces filled with panic.

"Don't kill us, please, don't kill us!" Seeing they had been discovered, the two slowly crawled out from under the desk.

Li Changqing asked with caution, "Who are you? Why are you still in the Jiade building at this hour?"

"We hadn't finished our work for the day, and then we suddenly heard fighting and sounds of monsters outside," one of the young men said, trembling. "Who, exactly, are you people?"

There was nothing unusual about their faces, but Li Changqing felt something was off. "Let's check if these two have any demonic aura," he suggested.

Bai Chuan nodded. Holding his short blade, he walked slowly toward them and suddenly thrust the sword toward the abdomen of one of the men. If they were hiding something, they would surely retaliate. If they were innocent, the position of the strike would not be fatal.

*Clang.*

A crisp sound rang out. It was as if Bai Chuan's blade had struck solid steel.

Something was wrong! These two men were none other than Shen Yan and the Yellow Mountain Turtle!

The one who had been struck was the Yellow Mountain Turtle. Beside him, Shen Yan suddenly kicked the turtle in the back, sending him stumbling toward the two men. Shen Yan turned and fled immediately.

The Yellow Mountain Turtle cursed the bastard Shen Yan in his heart, but he was already face-to-face with Li Changqing and Bai Chuan. There was no time to escape. Li Changqing instantly shifted into his zombie state.

"That's Shen Yan! Don't let him get away!" The Yellow Mountain Turtle didn't forget to sabotage Shen Yan while he was at it; he didn't believe for a second that Shen Yan was more important than he was.

Bai Chuan frowned deeply and looked at Li Changqing. "I'll go after Shen Yan. Can you handle him for now?"

Li Changqing nodded slightly. The main force was not far away; even if he couldn't win, he should have no trouble escaping. If Shen Yan escaped, it would lead to endless trouble.

Seeing Li Changqing’s nod, Bai Chuan vanished in a flash, pursuing his target at high speed.

"I'm just a small fry, why make things so difficult for me?" The Yellow Mountain Turtle smiled, then slowly raised his hands. "I surrender!"

Surrender? Li Changqing didn't believe it for a moment. He pushed off the ground and arrived in front of the turtle in an instant. The creature was stunned—he was so fast!

*Bang!*

Li Changqing slammed a fist into the turtle’s chest, but the creature didn't budge. Instead, Li Changqing gasped, feeling a sharp pain. This guy was tough!

Seeing that the punch hadn't caused any damage, the Yellow Mountain Turtle smiled, grabbed Li Changqing’s wrist, and swung his right fist toward his face. In an instant, his skin transformed into an incredibly durable turtle shell.

Li Changqing tilted his head slightly, easily dodging the strike. The turtle's speed was no match for him. Li Changqing kicked the creature hard in the chest, but the turtle stood like a mountain, causing Li Changqing to stumble back several steps from the recoil.

"Your martial arts can't hurt me," the Yellow Mountain Turtle said, removing his mask. He had assessed Li Changqing’s strength; the boy was fast and skilled in close combat, but his attacks were ineffective. The outcome was clear.

The Yellow Mountain Turtle leaped into the air. "Shell Impact!"

A turtle shell formed behind him, bristling with countless sharp spikes. He charged directly at Li Changqing, who dodged swiftly. *Bang!* The creature crashed into the floor, shattering the tiles and falling to the level below.

Moments later, a wave of demonic energy rose from below. Suddenly, the floor beneath Li Changqing cracked, and the spiked shell burst through from underneath. *Bang!* Li Changqing was sent flying into the air.

This wasn't working. He was at a disadvantage. How could he hurt him? In mid-air, Li Changqing remembered the sword he had found earlier. Anything was better than his bare hands.

With a thought, a sharp longsword appeared in his hand. He gripped the Changhong Sword and tried channeling his demonic energy into it. Soon, the blade began to glow with a rhythmic red light.

Just then, the Yellow Mountain Turtle charged at him again. The creature chuckled; he had spent two or three hundred years cultivating his shell. He believed that absolute defense was the best offense. Unless he faced an expert who had reached the level of a Spirit Immortal, nothing could harm him. His shell was impervious to blades and bullets; the idea of someone piercing it was pure fantasy.

However... *Squelch.*

The Changhong Sword pierced through the shell effortlessly, as if it weren't there, and drove straight through the Yellow Mountain Turtle behind it. The blade exited through his chest.

The sensation of pain was something the turtle hadn't felt in nearly a century. "Ah!" he let out a shrill, miserable scream. This boy couldn't possibly be a Spirit Immortal; the problem must be the weapon in his hand.

The Yellow Mountain Turtle’s eyes glinted with malice as he grabbed the blade protruding from his chest, trying to slide his body off it. Li Changqing didn't give him the chance and pulled the sword out with force. The turtle’s hands were shredded and bloodied.

Li Changqing slashed horizontally. A flash of blade light crossed the creature's neck. The Yellow Mountain Turtle collapsed to the ground, his head rolling to the side as blood sprayed out.

The fight ended quickly. Li Changqing looked at the Changhong Sword with surprise—he hadn't expected it to be so sharp. Soon, the Yellow Mountain Turtle reverted to his true form: a five-meter-long sea turtle.

After finishing off the turtle, Li Changqing rushed off in the direction Bai Chuan had gone to pursue Shen Yan, wondering how the situation was unfolding there.

In a street next to the Jiade building, a manhole cover rattled. *Bang, bang.* The cover was pushed open from below, and Shen Yan crawled out of the sewer, covered in filth.
