Meanwhile, on the other side.

Ye Feng was strolling leisurely under the starry night sky.

Just as he was about to hail a taxi back to the villa district, his footsteps suddenly came to a halt. He looked toward a flower shop across the street.

There, a young and pretty girl in a wheelchair was seeing a customer off.

"It's her... Her legs actually..."

A flash of gloom crossed Ye Feng's eyes.

That car accident years ago had resulted in one death and seven injuries.

Aside from Jin Luyi's mother, who died on the spot, there were seven others seriously injured.

And the girl in the wheelchair across the street was one of the victims of that year.

"Sigh..."

Ye Feng let out a soft sigh.

Although he wasn't the true perpetrator, countless innocent people had still been implicated in this grand conspiracy.

Ye Feng remembered the girl's name was Chen Shiya, and she was around his age.

Her legs had been severely injured back then, but he never expected it would leave her permanently disabled.

Ye Feng was about to step forward and treat her leg injuries.

With his current medical prowess, curing a disability was nothing more than lifting a finger.

Yet, halfway across the street, Ye Feng suddenly stopped in his tracks.

"She probably doesn't want to see me..."

Just like Jin Luyi, in the eyes of the victims from back then, Ye Feng was an unforgivable criminal.

Even if he wanted to heal her legs, she would certainly refuse his goodwill.

"Ah, whatever," Ye Feng shook his head with a bitter smile. "In a few days, once the truth comes to light, I'll come back and treat her."

Just as Ye Feng turned to leave, Chen Shiya, across the street, was also preparing to close up shop for the night.

Over the years, due to her disability making it inconvenient to find work, she had opened this flower shop with the help of family, friends, and kind-hearted strangers. She barely managed to make a living, and life was passable.

Suddenly, however, Chen Shiya felt her wheelchair begin to roll backward on its own.

She let out a startled cry, gripping the armrests tightly to avoid falling out.

From beside her came a harsh, mocking laugh.

Chen Shiya steadied her wheelchair and looked back, only to find a few bleached-blonde youths reeking of alcohol playing a cruel trick on her.

It was they who had grabbed her wheelchair, forcing it backward instead of letting it stay still.

"Are you the legendary Flower Goddess of this neighborhood?" One of the blonde youths leered at Chen Shiya, a mixture of surprise and pity in his eyes. "You really are a stunning beauty! What a shame you're a cripple!"

"As long as she's pretty and has a great figure, who cares if her legs don't work..." several others chimed in with lewd laughter.

Annoyed, Chen Shiya ignored the little punks and tried to wheel herself back inside the safety of her shop.

"Hey, beauty, don't rush off." The blonde youth suddenly grabbed the wheelchair again, trapping her firmly in place. "Got time to grab a drink with us?"

Chen Shiya glared at him angrily. "If you don't back off, I'm going to scream! Let go of my chair!"

"Heh, go ahead, scream," the blonde youth said dismissively. "We're not doing anything to you, just inviting you out for a drink! What, is that a crime?"

"Help! Someone help!" Chen Shiya cried out at the top of her lungs.

Hearing the commotion, neighboring shop owners rushed out to see what was happening.

"What are you looking at?!" The blonde youth fiercely smashed a beer bottle against the ground. "Let's see which of you dares to meddle in our business!"

Such arrogant and aggressive behavior instantly frightened the surrounding merchants back inside.

They were all honest people running small, humble businesses—who would dare stick their noses into such trouble?

"Humph, ungrateful bitch!" The blonde youth turned his attention back to Chen Shiya, glaring at her threateningly. "Are you coming to have a drink with us or not? Huh?"

"No, I won't!" Chen Shiya gritted her teeth. "Not even if I die!"

"Fine! Since you refuse a toast, you shall be forced to drink a forfeiture!"

With that, the blonde youth violently tipped over Chen Shiya's wheelchair, dumping her onto the ground.

He then strode over to block the doorway of the shop, standing with his legs spread wide and pointing between his thighs.

"Crawl through here, and we'll leave immediately."

"Otherwise, don't even think about getting up!"

The other youths burst into jeering laughter. "Crawl through! Crawl through!"

They even deliberately dragged her wheelchair far away so she couldn't reach it.

Chen Shiya lay on the ground, her legs weak and powerless, forcing her to prop herself up with just her hands.

Having suffered such humiliation, aggrieved tears welled up in her eyes.

"You bastards... My friend will be here soon... They'll make you pay for this..."

The blonde youth laughed carelessly. "Then hurry up and call your friend! We'll wait!"

"I'd love to see who has the guts to teach me a lesson!"

Just as the blonde youth stood with his hands on his hips, looking down condescendingly at Chen Shiya to bully and tease her to his heart's content—

Suddenly—whoosh!

A small pebble, flying as fast as a bullet, zipped through the air and struck the blonde youth squarely in the groin.

"Aah—!"

Accompanied by a miserable scream, the blonde youth clutched his crotch, squeezed his legs together, turned a pale shade of purple, and slowly collapsed to the ground.

Seeing this, Chen Shiya was both startled and overjoyed. Such swift and decisive martial prowess made her think her friend had finally arrived.

She was saved.

Yet, when she turned her head to look, she saw a strange, cold man walking toward them step by step.

That person gave her a feeling that was both familiar and unfamiliar.

But Chen Shiya couldn't remember who he was...
