Consequences!?
The two pretty girls at the service desk could not help laughing when they heard Ye Feng utter such brazen words in front of Brother Qiang.
“This guy really has a death wish. He’ll say anything.”
“He deserves whatever happens to him. All the Dragon Gate’s experts are gathered here today. Any one of them could crush him!”
“Looks like there’s no need for the higher-ups to send anyone down. Brother Qiang alone is more than enough.”
“What a pity. He’s actually quite handsome. He’ll probably be disfigured in a moment!”
Ye Feng’s well-intentioned warning fell on deaf ears.
It had even succeeded in enraging Brother Qiang and his men.
“I think this kid’s been scared witless! He’s started babbling nonsense!”
The thugs laughed maliciously.
In their eyes, Ye Feng was no more than a lamb lost among a pack of wolves. A few cries from him would frighten no one.
“Boy, you still dare to run your mouth!”
Brother Qiang drew a gleaming dagger from his waist. Its razor-sharp edge slid slowly across the tip of his tongue.
“Looks like I’ll have to bleed you a little and show you what I’m capable of!”
When Brother Qiang drew his blade, his men all revealed cruel smiles.
They thought the boy was about to suffer terribly.
That was because drawing blood was Brother Qiang’s signature—and most vicious—method.
As the name implied, he would drain an opponent’s arm of blood, crippling it; drain a leg of blood, crippling that as well.
The brutality of the method and the bloodiness of the process had made him notorious in the underworld, striking fear into everyone who heard of him.
When Ye Feng saw the other man reveal his dagger, he suddenly remembered that Ninth Master’s dagger had yet to taste blood that day.
“My dagger is hungry too.”
Ye Feng drew his own dagger.
It gleamed like a sword, was sharp as a blade, and shone with undiminished brilliance.
“What a fine weapon!”
Brother Qiang was startled when he saw the dagger in Ye Feng’s hand, then greed appeared in his eyes.
He was an expert in daggers himself and could tell at a glance that Ye Feng’s weapon was extraordinary—clearly crafted by a renowned master.
The longer he looked at it, the more his heart itched.
If he could possess it, he would be like a tiger equipped with wings.

“What a waste.” Brother Qiang sneered. “A treasure like that is wasted in your hands.”
“Boy, for the sake of the dagger you’re holding, I can leave you one leg.”
Brother Qiang was not taking Ye Feng’s possession for nothing. He had originally intended to cripple all four of his limbs, but as an exchange, he was willing to spare one leg.
“Heh. You do have a little conscience after all.” Ye Feng chuckled.
“Even thieves have principles!”
Brother Qiang brandished his dagger and lunged at Ye Feng.
“I never take anything from anyone without paying the price!”
As he spoke, the razor-sharp dagger tore through the air.
Ye Feng remained unhurried. Moving after his opponent, he struck first.
The dagger in his hand traced a perfect arc through the air, slicing past the tip of Brother Qiang’s nose.
“Hiss—!”
Brother Qiang could not help drawing in a sharp breath.
His opponent was more than twice as fast as he was. It seemed he could do nothing but close his eyes and await death, utterly unable to fight back.
“Ah—!”
Clang!
A scream burst from Brother Qiang.
The next instant came the sound of a dagger hitting the floor.
Then everyone saw the blood-soaked blade—with a severed hand still gripping its handle.
“Ahhh!”
The gruesome and shocking sight left everyone present staring wide-eyed, their mouths hanging open.
The lackeys behind Brother Qiang were especially stunned, as though they had turned to stone.
They could not believe that their leader had lost a hand in a single stroke.
“Ah!”
The pretty girls at the service desk were equally horrified. Their faces drained of color, and they covered their eyes, afraid to look any further.
They had assumed Ye Feng would be the one lying in a pool of blood and had even felt a little sympathy for him.
But in the blink of an eye, flesh and blood had flown—and it was Brother Qiang’s hand that had been severed from his arm.
“Ah—my hand!”
Clutching his severed wrist, Brother Qiang screamed again and again.
When he looked at Ye Feng once more, his eyes were filled with terror.
“Brother Qiang!”
His men finally came to their senses. Some supported him while others picked up the severed hand from the ground, none of them knowing what to do.
“This is the consequence of making an enemy of me.”
Ye Feng slowly wiped the blood from his dagger. After tasting blood, the weapon gleamed with a cold, ghostly light, as though it had become even sharper.

“In consideration of the mercy you showed just now, I’ll spare your life.”
“Go back and tell Xu Ruhai not to be impatient. It will be his turn soon enough!”
Once Ye Feng reclaimed the Ye family, the next family he would crush would be the Xu family.
Brother Qiang was both shocked and terrified when he heard this. But above all, he was furious.
“You little bastard! You crippled one of my hands… Just you wait…”
Supported by his men, Brother Qiang picked up his severed hand and fled the building in disgrace.
“Brother Qiang!”
“Should we go upstairs and ask the Black Dragon King for help?”
“The leaders of every district are upstairs too.”
But Brother Qiang immediately rejected the suggestion.
Staring at his severed hand, he ground his teeth and said, “No! How could I possibly face the Black Dragon King in this state?”
Besides, the Black Dragon King was meeting an important guest that evening. Brother Qiang dared not disturb the gathering upstairs over such a minor matter.
“I’ll handle this myself!”
After thinking for a moment, Brother Qiang began issuing orders.
“Take me to the hospital first. Have them dress the wound and see if they can reattach my hand.”
“You lot, go nearby and bring in every underworld brother you can find to help us. The more, the better.”
Fortunately, the leaders of the nine districts of Yanjing had brought plenty of men with them that day, and they were all in the vicinity.
Brother Qiang still carried some weight in the underworld.
With a single word from him, he should be able to summon quite a few men.
His subordinates split into two groups and hurried off to carry out their tasks.
“Ye Feng, just you wait! When I come back, I’ll make you pay for blood with blood!”
Seething inwardly, Brother Qiang made his way toward the hospital.
At the same time, word of Ye Feng’s arrival had already reached the top floor of Dragon Gate Tower.
The underworld leaders of Yanjing, headed by the Black Dragon, had long since gathered there and laid an inescapable trap.
“That boy has finally arrived?”
The man seated upon the Dragon King’s throne was broad-shouldered and imposing. With a wave of his hand, he issued a cold command.
“Bring him up!”
The Black Dragon King’s voice was filled with such oppressive force that the underling who had come to report broke into a cold sweat and answered shakily.
“Lord Black Dragon King…”
“That boy said… said… that you should go down and see him…”
