A human face suddenly appearing outside a seventeenth-floor window was the sort of thing that bordered on a horror film.

Even the woman in the cheongsam, ruthless as she was, felt her scalp prickle with terror at the sight.

Yet before she could cry out, the figure outside the window struck with one palm, hitting the glass dead-on.

Bang!

The entire metal window frame buckled instantly and was blasted inward by the tremendous force like a cannon shell. Several guards standing with their backs to the window were sent flying, and the meeting room was thrown into chaos.

The tall figure took advantage of the opening and leapt into the room.

“You?!”

When he saw the intruder’s face clearly, Mr. Guo’s pupils contracted to pinpoints, and a storm of shock swept across his features.

Of course he recognized Yi Beidou. What he had never imagined was that Yi Beidou would appear here at this very moment.

The incident in Spring City had occurred barely a day ago. In other words, after the attack, this man had rushed here without stopping for even a moment.

What kind of madman was he?

“I sent men to kill you, so I have destroyed one of your divisions as a warning.”

Yi Beidou’s voice rang out like a demonic chant, booming like thunder and echoing throughout the meeting room.

Even the representatives of the five great powers who did not know him immediately understood what sort of figure stood before them. Their faces twitched in terror.

Hadn’t the Pioneer Group’s target still been in Spring City just yesterday?

They had only recently received the news from Donghua, and yet the man himself was already standing before them.

Was this person human or ghost?

A surging tide of murderous intent and baleful aura swept over them, freezing the air in the meeting room. For a moment, the more than ten armed guards inside were so overwhelmed that they could not even react.

“You came alone? You’re throwing yourself into a trap!”

Mr. Guo shouted. Fiery light seemed to blaze from his eyes as his searing true intent erupted.

Boom!

The air appeared to ignite, raging flames clashing against that icy killing intent.

Southern Firebird Fist!

There were levels even among super-soldiers.

The first kind consisted of ordinary warriors who had undergone bodily modification. Their minds could scarcely control their bodies, leaving them reliant on various methods of suppression and support. Once they entered combat, they were little more than berserkers.

The second kind was represented by men like Shen Song. Already masters whose spirit could command and subdue the soul, they were able to retain a degree of rational thought after becoming super-soldiers.

The final kind was represented by men like Mr. Guo—super-soldiers known as “perfect.”

Such beings generally possessed spiritual realms already on the verge of sainthood. After undergoing modification, their flesh nourished their spirit in return, elevating their mental realm. They could control their sanctified bodies with near perfection and even give birth to an influence of true intent. In other words, they approached infinitely close to true bodily sainthood.

That was why Mr. Guo could become the Pioneer Group’s representative in Southeast Asia and command an entire region.

For this reason, Mr. Guo believed he had no need to fear Yi Beidou.

Besides, this was his territory.

Within this building were numerous weapons and devices specifically developed to deal with experts who had attained bodily sainthood. Once reinforcements arrived, Yi Beidou would have no chance of escape.

Yi Beidou moved, charging straight toward Mr. Guo.

The collision with Mr. Guo’s true intent gave the others from the five great powers time to recover. But with such figures clashing in such a confined space, they dared not open fire and risk their own lives. They immediately covered their heads and fled toward the meeting-room door.

Once they escaped, they could have their subordinates rake the room with gunfire. Human or ghost, it made no difference.

Boom!

Yi Beidou ignored the fleeing vermin. His killing intent remained completely fixed on Mr. Guo.

The muscles throughout his body swelled. Lightning seemed to flash through the empty space wherever his gaze passed. His heart thundered, his blood surged like a waterfall, and his wild hair streamed toward the heavens.

His physical strength, blood energy, and demonic nature were all driven to their limits.

He had come here not to exchange knowledge of martial arts, but to kill.

When killing, there was no need for so many considerations. All that mattered was speed and ruthlessness.

Thus, he gave his all from the very first strike.

The surging killing intent condensed in his palm. In Mr. Guo’s perception, that palm seemed to expand with terrifying speed until it blotted out the sky and earth.

Dharma Annihilation!

The man before him was said to be “perfect,” yet he still relied on a heretical method.

How could the profound barrier between life and death be broken so easily by one who had attained bodily sainthood?

He had not given birth to the sacred clarity of true intent. Instead, he had used the body to drag the spirit upward. By omitting the most crucial step, he had made it impossible for the spirit to ever become the master of the flesh.

Even if he could control a sanctified body almost perfectly and approach infinitely close to bodily sainthood, his path ahead had already been severed. He could never advance any farther.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

Mr. Guo’s hands curved into claw-like shapes. His skin flushed crimson, and both fists shot forward in succession, streaking through the air like bands of red light.

His fists were no longer merely firebirds. They had mutated into guns, cannons, missiles. They had lost the expansive grandeur of the technique’s original ideal—the transformation of a firebird into a phoenix.

Once, he had believed in his fists. But from the moment he accepted bodily modification, he had ceased to believe in himself. Instead, he had come to depend on external forces. In essence, he was little different from warriors who relied on advanced equipment.

The only difference was that other people’s equipment was made of steel, while his was made of flesh.

With an impure heart, how could one possess a will capable of shaking the heavens?

Before leaving the country, Yi Beidou had fought Yue Ming and tempered his killing intent. Now, the formidable power of Dharma Annihilation’s killing tribulation revealed itself without restraint.

Even Yue Ming’s will had been forced, beneath the stimulation of that killing intent, to seal the pores and hold the breath, leaving flaws in his dharmic body. One palm had been enough to suppress him. How much less could someone with an impure heart withstand it?

As the palm descended, the overwhelming shadows of Mr. Guo’s fists froze for the briefest instant. Though it lasted only a moment, it was already a fatal opening.

By the time Mr. Guo reacted, he could no longer block Yi Beidou’s technique. In his haste, he could only draw his arms back and cross them before his body.

Boom!

Terrifying force poured down. Mr. Guo’s entire body was sent flying and slammed heavily into the wall.

The wall shuddered. His whole body went numb, and a mouthful of blood burst from his lips.

How was this possible?

One strike—only one strike?

Mr. Guo’s eyes were filled with disbelief.

Meanwhile, only half of the people from the five great powers had escaped through the meeting-room door. Seeing what had happened, they were chilled to the marrow. Without waiting for the others, one of them immediately shouted, “Seal the door! Open fire!”

Five armed guards reacted swiftly, blocking the entrance. Without a thought for the possibility of hitting their own allies, they pulled their triggers and fired directly toward Yi Beidou and Mr. Guo.

Flames spurted from the muzzles.

Before Mr. Guo had even caught his breath, he felt a massive hand clamp around his throat and lift him as Yi Beidou charged toward the doorway. Then his back erupted in agony as skin split and flesh flew.

It had to be said that using a sanctified body as a shield was extraordinarily convenient. The bullets could not penetrate Mr. Guo’s flesh, and beneath the protection of this human shield, Yi Beidou’s clothes remained completely untouched.

Holding Mr. Guo’s body, he crashed into the doorway in the blink of an eye.

Bang!

The five gunmen firing at the entrance were struck head-on. Their flesh exploded into clouds of blood, and they instantly lost the ability to move.

Yi Beidou’s momentum did not stop. Crushing through the meeting-room entrance with Mr. Guo’s body, he drove him straight into the wall of the corridor outside.

Boom!

The entire corridor seemed to shudder as though struck by an earthquake. Mr. Guo suffered another devastating blow, and his entire chest caved inward.
