Yin Yunhui’s filming schedule for Crime City 2 was remarkably fast; in the blink of an eye, a month passed, and he wrapped up shooting. The entire high-intensity action movie shoot brought back echoes of his days in service.

However, compared to military service, this level of exertion was nothing strenuous. Still, action films inevitably involved some bumps and bruises, and the familiar aches and soreness were somewhat gratifying.

So, Yin Yunhui bought a set of exercise books and gave them to his assistant, Sister Jin, to take home for her younger sister.

“Brother Hui, my sister goes to the arts high school, she’s an idol trainee. She really doesn’t need these things…”

“So what? Just because she’s in arts high school doesn’t mean she can’t go to university. Your brother’s at Kyunghee University, right? Your sister needs to be ambitious too.”

After finishing his scenes for Crime City 2, Yin Yunhui’s demeanor had grown rougher, and these past few days, he had been resting and recuperating. Although he had a constitution that healed easily, he still wouldn’t neglect skincare or beauty treatments.

With such expensive skincare products, they certainly worked.

Yin Yunhui was generous; while spending on his own recovery, he never forgot to bring along his assistant, Sister Jin. He had grown accustomed to having someone to attend to him when going out—it was truly convenient.

Once spoiled, always spoiled.

Looking back, he wondered what kind of childhood this old-money Korean had endured—he was even mocked for his name at his own school.

“My sister has to be able to study too…”

Assistant Sister Jin found it hard to judge Yin Yunhui’s stubbornness. She had found him excellent resources, yet he ended up buying a large stack of exercise books for his sister.

“Hey Sister Jin, your sister is a trainee at SOURCE MUSIC?”

“Yes. I don’t know what she was thinking, but SOURCE MUSIC is a decent company, though the dorm conditions are quite poor.”

Assistant Sister Jin spoke approvingly of the company, the agency behind GFRIEND, also known as Fried Chicken Friends or Little Girlfriend.

From her perspective as an industry insider, although the entertainment company was somewhat small-scale, after being acquired by HYBE, it might have more development opportunities.

“But Brother Hui, you’re right. My sister isn’t really unable to study; she picks up languages quite quickly. If she can get into university, I think she should try her best.”

“What’s she studying at arts high school?”

Yin Yunhui had just finished his skincare routine—he didn’t indulge in medical aesthetics unnecessarily—and was resting, casually painting a grand vision for Assistant Sister Jin.

“Of course, I let her study performing arts. Idol careers don’t last forever. If she really wants to continue in entertainment, I can help her transition into acting, right?”

Assistant Sister Jin’s idea was very reasonable, and Yin Yunhui nodded:

“I guessed it was performing arts. That’s settled then. Have your sister prepare a portfolio and when the college entrance exams come, put Incheon Songdo University last on the list. It’s a guaranteed admission.”

“Brother Hui…”

“Just tell your sister not to look down on the drama and film department at Incheon Songdo University because its ranking is low. You know their top programs are in the College of Pharmacy and the Medical School.”

Incheon Songdo University, usually abbreviated as ISU, is the best university in the Incheon area.

Yin Yunhui didn’t consider this special treatment for admission.

As the top university in the Incheon region, ISU is on par with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, ranking roughly within the top twenty nationally. In the QS World University Rankings, it usually sits in the 600s to 700s range.

Its flagship faculties are only two: pharmacy and medicine. The others are quite average, and the College of Arts and Physical Education is more of a joke.

If it were special admission, it would at least be for prestigious SKY universities (Seoul National University, Korea University, Yonsei University).

“Alright, Brother Hui, I’ll make sure my sister puts more effort into her studies.”

“Good, that’s the spirit.”

Yin Yunhui was happy; he had helped another wayward girl find the right path.

“What’s your sister’s name? How old is she?”

“Minchi, Kim Minchi, born in 2004.”

Assistant Sister Jin quickly jotted down the Chinese characters for her sister’s name, knowing that was what Yin Yunhui wanted.

“That’s a very pretty name.”

Yin Yunhui was quite sensitive about such things and expressed his approval, while Assistant Sister Jin still lacked a full formal name for herself.

Being born in 2004 meant Minchi was still in high school.

“Wait a moment.”

Yin Yunhui took a call from his childhood friend, Li Junhao.

“What’s up, Junzi?”

“Guess where I am, Brother Hui.”

“Tsk, you’re hanging up.”

“Hey hey, I’m still talking. I’m at SBS right now.”

“What are you doing at SBS?”

Yin Yunhui really couldn’t guess. Li Junhao gave up trying to be mysterious; his elder brother was known for abruptly hanging up and blocking, so it wasn’t worth the trouble.

“I’m the MC for ‘Inkigayo.’ Brother Hui, didn’t you say you’d appear on it? I brought you a co-host. You have to guess who it is.”

“First, exclude Kwon Eunbi. I’ve already promised her resources.”

Yin Yunhui certainly wouldn’t shortchange Kwon Eunbi.

SBS was planning a new variety show, and Yin Yunhui had arranged a fixed guest spot for Kwon Eunbi.

Unfortunately, the pilot of the new variety show performed poorly, with only a 3.4% rating in prime time. After two episodes, it was canceled outright—this was a public broadcaster.

Kwon Eunbi couldn’t really complain.

But Yin Yunhui still had Li Junhao arrange another personal schedule for her: a new variety show on CJ Entertainment’s music channel Mnet, where she appeared as a temporary guest for several episodes, which was well received.

“So it’s Kim Minjoo?”

“Hey, Brother Hui, you guessed right. How about that, little brother did well, huh?”

Li Junhao was smug, and Yin Yunhui joked:

“I get the feeling this wasn’t your idea, Junzi.”

“Ahem, okay, actually it was Minjoo’s agency that proposed it. Since I arranged personal resources for Kwon Eunbi, other members’ agencies started making moves.”

For IZONE, a limited-time group that would definitely not renew their contracts, there was no need to open up personal resources.

But when everyone saw Woollim Entertainment rushing to lay the groundwork for Kwon Eunbi’s solo activities post-disbandment, all the ambitious agencies came to talk to Li Junhao.

Woollim Entertainment’s response: “Not me, wasn’t me, I don’t know, she 'worked hard' on her own, nothing to do with us.”

Li Junhao briefed Yin Yunhui on the situation.

Not only Kim Minjoo’s company but also Starship Entertainment, which manages An Yujin, had come forward, planning to make An Yujin the MC of a music promotion show.

In fact, Starship was the first to propose sending An Yujin to ‘Inkigayo.’

But An Yujin was so young—born in 2003, still a minor. Obviously, she wasn’t a good fit for Yin Yunhui. Better to switch—Kim Minjoo was perfect, just the right age.

“Pfft, I haven’t even decided whether to go on ‘Inkigayo’ yet. Now I have to, huh?”

Yin Yunhui said this while giving Assistant Sister Jin a look, and she understood immediately.

“Whether you go or not is entirely up to you, Brother Hui~”

“You rascal, alright, you’ve got a point.”

“Of course~”

Yin Yunhui hung up and turned to Assistant Sister Jin:

“What do you think about being an MC on a music promotion show?”

“Since you can decide freely how long to do it, I think six months is a reasonable duration. The image of an MC on a music show is too youthful and doesn’t quite match the film career path you want to pursue.”

Assistant Sister Jin offered what she thought was good advice, and Yin Yunhui nodded:

“Okay, I’ll listen to you.”
