Chapter Three: The Great Sage in the Stone
"Great Sage, say no more. Those three years—I shall never forget them! As long as you have a way to restore the Supreme Blood within me, allowing me to exact my revenge, I am willing to serve you as a beast of burden for the rest of my life!" Su Yang said, gnashing his teeth.
"Heh, no need for the 'beast of burden' routine. With your cultivation level, this Great Sage wouldn't even think much of it. However, if it weren't for the Supreme Blood in your body, I wouldn't have awakened so quickly. Come to think of it, I should thank you."
"I will restore your blood and essence in a moment. Once that is done, find a place where no one can see you and hide."
As the words faded, Su Yang felt a familiar current of heat rushing into his body, coursing through his meridians and permeating his limbs and bones. His skeletal frame began to flesh out, and his blood and vitality gradually returned...
Like a sprout in spring, his life force awakened, surging forth in an endless stream.
Soon, Su Yang was able to stand. He swam from the pool to the bank and knelt on the ground. Looking at his hands, now filled with flesh and blood, his pupils dilated with excitement.
"I... I have restored my flesh!"
"Hahahaha! I have restored my flesh, and my Supreme Blood has not withered away!!!"
Su Yang’s eyes turned slightly red, and two lines of hot tears flowed down his cheeks. He wanted to cry out loud to vent the inhuman torture he had suffered for so many years.
But he held back. He knew he had only restored his physical body; he possessed not a shred of spiritual energy. If he were to shout now and attract a demonic beast, he would truly end up as nothing more than a meal in a beast's belly and dung beneath its tail.
"Kid, don't be too happy just yet. There is a powerful demonic beast nearby, and it is not far from you. If you don't want to die a second time, hurry up and find a place to hide." The Great Sage’s voice from within the stone rang out again.
Upon hearing this, Su Yang scrambled to his feet. After looking around, he spotted a small stone cave not far from the water's edge.
The cave was small, just enough for Su Yang to fit inside.
He ducked into the cave, but no more than three seconds later, he bolted out like the wind, with a ferocious wild wolf hot on his heels.
"Damn it! You wretched beast," Su Yang couldn't help but curse.
"...You at least possess the Supreme bloodline. Even if you lack spiritual energy now, surely you aren't so weak that you can't handle a common wild beast?" The speechless voice echoed in his mind again.
Hearing this, Su Yang stopped in his tracks, stunned. "That's right. I've regained my physical body; why should I fear a wild beast?"
"Damn it!"
Su Yang felt he had grown too weak. It seemed three years of captivity had made him forget the burning blood of combat!
"Awooo!" The wild wolf bared its teeth, its green eyes fixed intently on Su Yang.
"Hmph! I almost let a beast like you scare me off. Perfect—it's been a long time since I've tasted wild game. Today, I'll use you to find that old feeling again!" Su Yang clenched his fists, and long-lost strength flooded his entire body.
"Hah!"
With a roar, he flashed forward, his right fist lashing out to smash against the wolf’s head.
The seemingly ordinary punch whistled as it cut through the air. The wolf seemed to realize this human was no longer the same, and as it tried to turn and flee, it found itself unable to move. With a miserable yelp, it was sent flying by Su Yang’s punch, slamming into the roof of the cave before sliding slowly down.
Its skull shattered like a watermelon... red and white fluids intermingled as they slowly pooled on the ground.
"Not bad. Just regained your flesh, and you already have this much strength."
The voice sounded in his mind again.
Su Yang looked at the lifeless wolf, feeling the rush of power, and revealed a long-lost smile. "This feeling... it feels great."
He then cast his gaze toward the void, his eyes filled with murderous intent. "The Wang family, Wang Yiyi—your good days are coming to an end."
...
At this moment, in the Wang Manor, Yebei City.
"Patriarch Wang, we have completed the task you set for us."
"After all these years, it is time for you to fulfill the promise you made to us brothers, isn't it?" Three men in black looked at Wang Lang, who sat perched on his throne.
"Haha, naturally. You three have done much for me over the years; I shall certainly honor my word. However... there is one more thing I forgot to tell you." Wang Lang picked up his teacup and held the lid in his right hand.
"Oh? And what might that be, Patriarch Wang?" the leader of the three men asked with a frown.
"Heh, it's nothing significant. I just wanted to tell you three brothers that while I can give you what you want, you may not have the life to take it!" As these words fell, a powerful force erupted instantly from within Wang Lang.
The three men in black knew what was coming next.
Their expressions changed simultaneously. Without a word, the leader unleashed his own power, throwing several punches toward Wang Lang. "You scoundrel Wang Lang, you dare to flip your hand and deny us? Do you think we three brothers didn't come prepared? If we cannot leave your manor alive today, within an hour, the dirty deeds your Wang family has committed over the years will be known throughout Yebei City. The City Lord’s Manor will not let your family off!"
Facing their attack, Wang Lang remained unmoved, merely smiling faintly. "Oh? It seems you suspected I would silence you all along? Not bad! But even if this news gets out, what of it?"
"As long as my daughter can step into the Divine Martial Realm, what can a mere City Lord's Manor do to my Wang family?"
"You three know too much, so you had best go and be reincarnated. In your next life, don't be such idiots."
"Die!"
Boom!
A surge of extreme spiritual energy erupted, instantly splitting into three powerful forces that blasted toward the three men as they scrambled to flee in different directions. The terrifying power left them no chance to resist.
In a mere moment, three corpses dropped from the air... devoid of all life.
"Though you three served my family with all your hearts, you were, after all, outsiders."
"Someone come! Drag these three bodies out and feed them to the dogs."
Wang Lang set down his teacup, his tone ice-cold, like a devil.
Deep within the Wang Manor, a beautiful figure sat with her eyes closed in meditation. Two different bloodline auras were erupting within her, constantly merging and surging...
Her own aura was climbing higher and higher at an astonishing speed!
