Chapter Twenty-One: Immersed in Dragon's Blood
After the great battle, the Hidden Sword Pavilion finally enjoyed a period of tranquility. This time, they had obtained the physical bodies of the Golden Dragon Demon Saint and the Great Ape Demon Emperor. In addition, there were nearly thirty other demon king bodies, most of which had been slain by An Miaoling. This meant they would not lack meat for quite some time.
Qin Tian also took time to use his essence blood combined with rare herbs to refine some pills. These pills would help everyone accelerate their cultivation. Moreover, during the previous battle, Qin Tian noticed that An Miaoling’s sword technique was not particularly refined. So, he passed on his finest sword skill, the Silent Extinction Sword Technique, to her.
The sword technique had six moves. The last three were supreme-level, while the first three were considered imperial-level skills. During the teaching process, Qin Tian was meticulous, instructing her almost hand by hand.
At night, Qin Tian prepared a medicinal pool using the essence blood of the Golden Dragon Demon Saint and some precious spiritual herbs. This was something he had pondered for a long time, having failed to find higher-level demon saint blood in previous attempts to seek out demon emperors. Now that he finally had such rare blood, he naturally would not waste the opportunity to temper their bodies.
Once the medicinal pool was ready, he called An Miaoling and Bai Xiaoru over. When An Miaoling saw the pool, her face immediately flushed. After living together for so long, she was well aware of her master’s intentions.
“Disciple, quickly undress and get in. This is demon saint essence blood; soaking in it will greatly improve your strength,” Qin Tian said.
In the end, An Miaoling could only take off her outer clothes, revealing her pink undergarments beneath. Her enchanting face was flushed with a delicate blush, her slender hands crossed over her chest, and her alluring long legs slowly stepped forward to sit in the pool. Who would have thought that the ruthless and decisive Empress from her past life would now reveal such a girlish demeanor?
After An Miaoling entered the pool, Qin Tian put on shorts, picked up the little fox spirit, and jumped in as well. Both An Miaoling and the little fox dared not look at Qin Tian, especially since the little fox was held tightly in his arms. She wanted to resist but knew it was futile. Many imperial realm experts had once pursued her without ever so much as touching a finger. Now, all the favors had been taken by Qin Tian.
Fortunately, she also knew he would not go too far. Once the awkwardness passed, the three of them began absorbing the golden dragon blood to temper their bodies. Indeed, the blood of dragons had an extraordinary effect on refining the body. Even Qin Tian, with his second-tier Eternal Body, could feel a clear enhancement. An Miaoling and Bai Xiaoru’s improvements were even greater. Bai Xiaoru was already showing signs of advancing to the semi-saint second tier. An Miaoling, having just broken through, was still consolidating her realm.
Once the realm was stabilized, her breakthrough speed would increase significantly. However, An Miaoling did not dare to activate her Ice Phoenix bloodline yet. She was still embarrassed when recalling the reaction that occurred the last time she triggered her bloodline with the essence blood of a flood dragon.
Qin Tian noticed this and reminded her gently, “If you activate your bloodline to absorb it, the effect will be much better. Don’t worry, I won’t mind.”
An Miaoling’s face flushed deeply as she coquettishly replied, “You might not mind, but I do.”
Secretly, Qin Tian added more golden dragon blood to the pool, instantly intensifying the medicinal power. As the potency increased, An Miaoling absorbed more, and her phoenix veins began to react spontaneously.
The little fox spirit noticed Qin Tian’s action but said nothing, happily watching the spectacle. After all, as long as she remained in her fox form, Qin Tian could not do much to her.
Gradually, An Miaoling sensed something was amiss. “What have you done?” she asked plaintively.
Qin Tian shook his head innocently. The disruption caused some confusion in An Miaoling’s spiritual energy, so he went over to help smooth it out—an action that allowed An Miaoling to take some liberties. Yet this time, she retained a shred of rationality.
The little fox spirit covered her eyes at the scene, thinking to herself that Qin Tian wouldn’t use the same trick on her later, though the thought still made her blush.
At that moment, Qin Tian’s hands were on An Miaoling’s back, helping her organize the spiritual energy within, while she leaned against him, breathing sweetly. This made Qin Tian’s heart tingle with desire. Gazing at her half-exposed, voluptuous front, he couldn’t help but say, “It seems to have gotten even bigger.”
Unable to hold back, An Miaoling bit Qin Tian’s neck. However, Qin Tian’s skin was tough, and the bite left no injury, only a trail of lip marks on his neck.
After a long while, the medicinal power in the pool was almost fully absorbed. An Miaoling regained full clarity and looked at the red marks on Qin Tian’s neck, deeply embarrassed.
“You’re always taking advantage of me. How am I supposed to get married in the future?” she scolded.
Qin Tian patted her back and said, “Even if you can’t get married, I will support you for life.”
An Miaoling quickly slipped away from Qin Tian’s embrace and retorted, “You wish.”
With that, she stood up, put on her outer clothes, and left. Seeing her go, the little fox spirit hurried off as well.
An Miaoling returned to her room and buried herself in her quilt, her heart still racing. Could it be that she had truly fallen for her master? Her master said he would support her for life—did that mean he liked her too?
She soon lost herself in wild thoughts.
Morning came.
While Qin Tian was accompanying An Miaoling in sword refining, a disciple rushed over. “Master Uncle, today is the sect’s disciple recruitment day. The sect leader invites you to attend.”
“Isn’t it not time yet?” Qin Tian asked in confusion.
The disciple smiled. “Because of the recent great battle, our sect’s reputation has soared. Coincidentally, the princess of Chongming Kingdom plans to apprentice here for a while, so the sect leader moved up the recruitment day.”
“Alright, I’ll go take a look,” Qin Tian agreed.
Before leaving, An Miaoling gave him a warning look, clearly meaning he should not bring anyone back with him.
Outside Kunlun Mountain, a magnificent and imposing pink carriage sped toward the entrance of the Kunlun Sword Sect. Six horsemen rode alongside it, two of whom were masters of the Destiny realm. Many travelers and trial participants on the road were awed by the Chongming Kingdom’s prestige.
Qin Tian sat in his seat reading a popular novel to pass the time. This time, Mo Wentian did not bother him, and Lei Ba, who used to dislike him, was dead, so Qin Tian was quite at ease. Although low-key, he still attracted much attention. Hidden Sword Peak was no longer as it had been before because of An Miaoling; many male disciples were eager to compete.
The carriage stopped at the sect entrance, and a woman draped in white veils slowly stepped down. She was Ming Yilian, the same woman Qin Tian had saved in Chongming City. Though her face remained hidden, her glass-like eyes and flawless features revealed she was undoubtedly a beauty.
As she entered, some trial participants began to discuss among themselves. Most were from Chongming Kingdom, including noble scions, so they knew a bit about the royal family.
“I heard the princess’s visit to apprentice here has ulterior motives.”
“I know. She wants to build ties with Kunlun to strengthen her position.”
“That’s because the emperor is already considering passing on the throne.”
From his high seat, Qin Tian seemed to sense something and looked toward Ming Yilian. She smiled at him. After his hurried departure last time, she had someone paint his portrait and inquired through Chongming’s intelligence to learn his identity.
