Chapter Thirty-Three: You Damn Fool, Get Out of the Way!
“...Hng!”
Scarface let out a low growl and swung the baseball bat. It tore through the air with a vicious howl, exploding beside Liu Haizhu’s ear!
Liu Haizhu ducked beneath it and drove his knee hard into the man’s groin. Scarface shrieked and doubled over like a shrimp, while the baseball bat clanged to the floor.
Right behind him, Liu Haizhu slammed his fist into the elbow joint of the man charging at him. Amid the crisp crack of breaking bone, the man’s arm hung limp at his side like a strip of cloth.
The bastard spread his arm, and the solid-iron baseball bat fell straight into his hand.
“Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!”
Liu Haizhu swung the iron bat like a wheel of fire, and with a series of thunderous blows, he flattened the last three men!
After catching his breath for a moment, Liu Haizhu lifted his blood-smeared face and grinned.
“Little Dragon, take a look at my form. How is it?”
“You lot want to die?” Dragon roared, leaning on the railing with one hand. “All of you, get up there and hack him to death!”
Footsteps pounded across the floor.
Seeing more men preparing to rush him, Liu Haizhu suddenly spun around.
His roar shook the entire room.
“Come on! Warriors of Tuen Mun, come on! Let me see what you’ve got!”
That single bellow was enough. The dozen or so thugs who had been preparing to charge shrank their necks and retreated at once.
...
Seeing this, Liu Haizhu smiled.
He raised his head again and called out loudly, “Dragon, do you remember what I told you? You only get one chance to kill me. Today, I’m going to cremate your ass!”
...
To be humiliated like this—on his own turf, no less—was something Brother Dragon could not tolerate!
He leaped from the platform like a tiger, slicing through the air as his right fist exploded forward.
“Go to hell!”
“Haha!”
Liu Haizhu laughed. He shifted slightly to the side and dodged Dragon’s heavy punch.
But before moving away, he hooked the tip of his foot around something, then swiftly sprang clear.
“Riiip!”
When Dragon landed, that little trick sent him straight into a perfect split.
He had landed safely enough, but the pain brought tears streaming from his eyes. His two thick legs formed an alluring straight line—an actual professional dancer would have burst into tears on the spot at the sight.
“Excellent!”
Liu Haizhu applauded enthusiastically from the side.
“Bravo!”
Brother Dragon was still Brother Dragon. Since the day he had entered the underworld, he had never once shown weakness...
Bracing both hands against the floor, he performed a dazzling vault through the air. When he landed, he clamped his legs together over his crotch and stood upright.
Brother Dragon gritted his teeth and remained where he was, taking more than ten seconds to recover.
...
Liu Haizhu was in no hurry.
He picked up a handful of sunflower seeds from the table beside him, cracking them one by one and spitting out the shells, looking utterly relaxed.
...
Dragon clenched his fists and took a step forward.
“Why are you dodging? Are you afraid to die too?”
Liu Haizhu wore a mocking grin. Pointing at Dragon, he cursed, “You lousy bastard. Can’t you at least let your father catch his breath?”
“Looking for death!”
Dragon hooked a foot around a knife, flipped it up into his hand, and charged forward with a roar.
“I’m taking your life!”
Liu Haizhu gave him no quarter. He grabbed a metal chair beside him and hurled it over.
“Come and get it!”
With a bang, Dragon swept his left arm across and knocked the metal chair aside.
Liu Haizhu snatched up a metal table and hurled that too, raising it above his head with both arms.
Bang!
Dragon tossed aside his cleaver and threw both hands up to deflect it.
“Huh?”
Liu Haizhu looked as though he had discovered a brand-new continent. He began running all over the place, throwing anything he could get his hands on.
Metal chairs, metal tables, liquor bottles, fruit platters, mops—he flung them all with savage force.
Even while running, he did not forget to shout, “Damn, you really are built like a tank!”
...
Whoosh! Bang... bang-bang!
Brother Dragon was practically going insane!
He kept waving both hands, with watermelon rind and shards of glass scattered across his head, and roared at Liu Haizhu in furious frustration:
“You filthy bastard! Fight me properly with real knives and real guns!”
“Oh?”
Liu Haizhu’s eyes gleamed. He stopped where he was.
“You’ve got the guts to fight me for real?”
With a roar, the bastard suddenly exploded into motion. His fist tore through the air, cracking like a burst of firecrackers!
Thunk!
Brother Dragon was just as hot-tempered. He clenched his fist and slammed it forward with all his strength.
Liu Haizhu did not dodge. He took the blow squarely in the chest.
The instant the two men collided, shock waves seemed to ripple through the air around them.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Their eyes had gone bloodshot. Old grudges and new hatred erupted together as they exchanged blow after blow, fighting with such ferocity that the clash instantly turned murderous.
“I’ll kill you!”
Dragon howled and swung another brutal punch at Liu Haizhu. Killing intent had already filled Liu Haizhu’s eyes.
Liu Haizhu raised his left arm and knocked the punch aside.
The next instant, his hand shot out like lightning and clamped around Dragon’s neck like a pair of iron pincers.
He tightened his grip and shouted through narrowed eyes, “I came! So what? Now that I’m here, what the hell can you do?”
Boom!
Liu Haizhu drove a fist into him.
“Weren’t you going to kill me?”
Blood streamed down Dragon’s face as he begged for mercy.
“Brother, I was wrong! I was wrong! Please spare me, my lord!”
The more Liu Haizhu thought about it, the angrier he became. Sparks seemed to fly from his burning forehead.
“You should have died the moment you laid hands on Ying Si!”
Bang!
Liu Haizhu exploded forward with another punch.
Boom!
Dragon’s nose collapsed, and blood sprayed from his eye sockets!
...
Staring at this mainlander who had become a savage beast, Dragon finally understood fear.
His entire body went limp.
“Brother, let me go. Please, let me go! My big brother is Han Bin!”
Boom!
Remembering Ying Si standing at the street corner with a knife pressed to her, the killing intent in Liu Haizhu’s eyes grew even darker.
“Die!”
With a final thunderous blow, the bastard poured every ounce of his strength into his fist.
Bang!
Dragon’s head burst open like a watermelon. He crumpled to the ground, dead beyond any doubt.
...
Half an hour later, when Han Bin received the news and hurried to Tuen Mun with his men, the place had already been deserted.
...
Three men squatted outside the entrance, smoking and chatting idly.
One was the hulking Gang the Shovelman.
The other two were Severed-Finger Song and Old Dog Ming.
...
Han Bin’s expression was twisted with rage. He forced several words through clenched teeth.
“Where’s Dragon?”
Gang looked up at him.
“Dead as a doornail.”
“You killed him?”
“Heh.”
Gang rose to his feet and pointed at Han Bin’s nose.
“Don’t tell me you didn’t hear what happened. Liu Haizhu did it. Do I really have to spell it out for you?”
“Damn it!”
Han Bin’s eyes were blood-red as he cursed, “This is Hung Lok territory. Get out!”
Gang stepped forward and gave Han Bin a light shove.
Han Bin staggered backward three steps, his face turning deathly pale.
Young Brave, the Savage, stepped out at once.
“Don’t touch my boss!”
Severed-Finger Song stood with his knife in hand, while Old Dog Ming advanced coldly, twin blades already gripped in his fists.
Gang looked at Young Brave and suddenly snorted with laughter.
“You idiot, go stand over there.”
He pointed at Han Bin and mocked him with a grin.
“You’re a grown man already. Don’t you know the rules?”
“We, Dongsheng, fought for this place and took it down. So what the hell are you still doing here?”
“If you want it back, that’s easy. Line up your men tomorrow and come take it if you’ve got the strength.”
“Though I have to wonder whether an idiot like you can actually manage it!”
Han Bin’s eyes burned with fury.
“You think Hung Lok has no one left?”
“With that temper of yours... what am I supposed to do?”
Gang continued his rambling lecture with relish.
“Let me ask you this: which beautiful woman isn’t coveted by men?”
Han Bin blinked.
“...What?”
Gang reached out and tapped him on the chest, lecturing him like a teacher.
“When a society grows powerful, doesn’t it naturally think about attacking the smaller gangs?”
“Damn, Liu Haizhu is that fierce. If he didn’t take your Tuen Mun, was he supposed to keep it around and work as a rent boy at the Queen’s Bar?”
